My leg was shaking violently in the car. I was very upset. I couldn't go home, I wouldn't sit still if I was there. I ran in and got the money my dad left me then went to teen heaven, the mall.
I'm never here, too many people. But I needed to get my mind off of Keith. I went into almost every store and found nothing appealing. I picked up a golden shimmer body cream but that was it. My mind was focused on Keith. Not necessarily him but the incident earlier.
It was irritating, I kept finding myself admiring him. I mean he is hot, I figured that out when I first saw him but this is overwhelming.
"Sky."
"Are you following me?"
"Ummm girl we're in a public place and you've been ignoring me for a week."
"Oh umm Cas."
I hugged her and smiled.
"I haven't been ignoring you. I finished all the break homework that's why. I've been busy."
"You finished everything? Girl that's a 3 days before school type of deal."
"Do you know how much we got assigned?"
"Kinda. But it'll be done."
We walked through the mall chatting about nothing in particular. We caught up on the last week we've been apart. My mind finally slipped away from Keith and I was happy. We talked for at least 2 hours before she had to go.
Now I could officially say I was tired.

Once home I placed everything on the kitchen table and passed out on the couch.
•
My phone rung back to back for almost 5 minutes. I dug in my pocket and answered in a half sleep tone.
"Hello."
"Sky, we landed and got to the hotel, are you okay?"
"Yes mom I'm fine. I was sleep."
"How was therapy?"
"Very helpful. It was a short session."
"Great, great. Well I was just calling to check on you. Call me if you need anything. Love you."
"Love you too mom."
"Bye honey."
"Bye."
I tossed my phone on the other end of the couch and yawned. I was beyond rested. It was 6 in the evening and I had tons of energy.
I was still fully dressed and my makeup was still intact so I grabbed my phone, purse and keys. My parents use to take me to this quiet beach, it was really small. It was 30 minutes away from the my home with no traffic, but it was 6pm in Dallas so it'll probably take me a hour to get there.
I tossed the idea while I stood at the door contemplating what I wanted to do. Then I started thinking about my past couple weeks and made a to do list in my mind.
I needed to change who my therapist was and finally have some fun. I had one week left of my spring break and it was about time I make some memories.
I skipped out the door to my car and drove to my therapy building. I was sure that Keith wasn't there. I wasn't trying to avoid him but he made it clear that there was nothing between us so let's not twist the knife by being forced to see each other. Cas' house was close to there anyway and she always knows how to break me from my sad streaks.

Once at the agency I walked right to the front desk and smiled. Something I wouldn't usually do but I was squeezing the life from my stress ball so I was calm.
"Hello ma'am how may I help you?"
"I would like to switch my therapist over."
"Who is your current therapist?"
"Keith Powers."
"Would you like to file a complaint along with your switch?"
"No, no thank you."
"Okay, your switch will be effective within 3 business days."
"What switch?" Keith rested his elbow on the tall counter and folded his hands together.
"Thank you so much."
I completely ignored his presence and walked away from the counter. I could hear him asking what I'd just done and keeping quiet after she'd told him.
