It had been three months since Clary was kidnapped. The kidnappers sent pictures and notes that made Jace nearly loose his mind. One of the recent pictures they sent was of a sleeping Clary, chained up and sporting a barely showing baby bump.

As soon as it arrived, Jace had Magnus try and track it, but it was no use.

Jace was slouching in a chair in the Library staring at one of Clary's drawings when Alec came in the room.

"You should eat something," Alec said to his parabatai.

Jace just shook his head sadly, waving off the food.

"Jace, Clary would want you to be healthy," Alec tried again.

"I'll eat later," Jace waved him off again, still focusing on the picture.

Alec sighed. Realizing that was the best he was going to get out of Jace, he moved to Simon. "Simon, you should eat too."

Simon, like Jace, had been depressed and had barely eaten anything since they took Clary and Izzy.

"You guys need to be strong for when we get them," Alec said after Simon refused his offer as well.

"When?" Jace asked suddenly, standing up, letting the picture fall out of his hand.

"When are we going to get them? Magnus has tried tracking them. It doesn't work. We've been out searching. That doesn't work either. Nothing we do seems to work. So tell me, when are going to get them? When am I getting my wife back?" he asked, his voice cracking at the end. He picked the picture back up and stared at it sadly, slowly sinking back into the chair.

"Today," Magnus said, entering the room, a smile on his face.

The three boys turned to look at the warlock, waiting for an explanation.

"I heard from Catarina that there was a warlock who had been stabbed and was in need of medical attention. So we went over there to help him out, but the warlock was beyond helping. He died soon after we got there, but not before telling us that this guy named Victor had stabbed him after he summoned a few demons for him. He said he summoned the demons in a safe house where he saw two girls, a pale red-head and a girl with striking raven black hair," Magnus said excitedly.

Jace visibly perked up. "Did you get a location?"

"No, I just came down here to tell you that wonderful story," Magnus said sarcastically. "Of course I got the location!"

"Let's go!" Jace said.

"You're going to want more weapons than that," Magnus said, pointing to the lone dagger that hung from Jace's belt.

"Do you know how many guards there are?" Simon asked as Jace disappeared from the room to stock up on weapons.

"No," Magnus said. "The guy didn't go into detail, I mean he was dying. But, based off how many people there were on the ship at Lake Ontario, I'm guessing we're going to have lots of company."

"All right, let's go," Jace said, coming back, belt loaded with daggers and seraph blades and his jacket holding even more weaponry.

"You have to eat something first," Alec said, handing him a sandwich. "You haven't eaten in a week. You need your strength."

Jace took the sandwich, quickly ate it and gulped down some water in less than a minute.

"Where are you going?" Max asked, coming into the Library with Emily and Rebecca, seeing the boys scramble around for their weapons.
