Zeldris wraps and arm around you. You wrap both your arms around him. He tilts your chin up with his free hand and leans in. You tense and move away, laughing uncomfortably.
"What are you doing?" you ask. Your voice is shaky.
Something is definitely off.
Zeldris would have asked for your consent.
Zeldris, if this person is Zeldris, says nothing. You stand up and he follows suit. You grab the salt hula hoop and your laptop and sit on the floor.
Your laptop boots up fairly quickly.
Can demons shapeshift?
Did someone possess Zeldris?
Can demons possess other demons?
"Who are you?" you ask the person who looks like Zeldris.
Not-Zeldris appears to be growing faces. Lots of faces. They don't answer your question. The demon approaches.
"I wouldn't cross that hula hoop if I were you. I hear salt burns demons" you say as you pull up your browser. At this point, you're not that scared of unfamiliar demons. If Not-Zeldris wanted to attack you, they would have done it already. Instead, they just float near you silently. You've been meaning to do some research and whatever this demon is, they don't seem to want to hurt you.
You type "Escanor" into the search bar.
Video game characters and a DnD guide are the results your search comes up with. A pop-up for Dr. Ban's Specter Collection and Apparition Management flashes across your screen. You thought you'd managed to get rid of that ad. You sigh.
You type "Escanor demigod" and search again.
You find an article on Apollo. Under the "children" section, is the name Escanor. You click it and read the article that it links to.
Escanor is one of the members of the Seven Deadly Sins. Why does that group sound familiar?
Oh, right, ancient history class.
His comrades Diane, King, Ban, Gowther, Merlin and... you are so clicking that link. How could you have forgotten the names of the Seven Deadly Sins like that? You'd had a test on them in school once! More importantly, how could you have forgotten about Meliodas, their leader?
You click the link.
There's nothing about him being a demon. There's a ton of stuff about him fighting demons, though.
Okay.
You type "Meliodas demon" into the search bar and, as the results load, a flash of light leaves a little blond guy standing in your apartment. A little blond guy who looks an awful lot like the woodcarving of the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins you saw once in class.
The demon who was watching you decides they have better places to be.
