Reo writes his notes as the teacher in front explained their lesson. He heaved out a sigh and looked out the window where he saw Hiyori's ayakashi form sneaking outside the campus. "First semester just started and she's sneaking out already."

He stared at his wristwatch and felt like time is slowing down. He noticed his own soul slipped out of his human body. "I don't have anything better to do anyway." He jumped through the open window and went outside.

A few months ago, he was living a peaceful and boring life with no one to talk to and nothing to worry about but now, from time to time, his soul suddenly slips out from his body. He find it useful at times, when he's really bored, and troublesome, when he's doing his homeworks.

He sniffed the fresh air as he crouched on top of a lamppost while watching the people below and ayakashis, which they are unaware of, roaming around the city.

"Yanagi Reo." A voice suddenly spoke. It came from an ash blonde haired boy standing in the other lamppost in front of him.

"You're (y/n)'s shinki. Sorata, was it?" He asked eyeing the crimson eyed boy.

"I'm glad that you remembered." Sorata smiled which then lately turn into a threatening smirk. "I'd rather not have you intervening with us. I'll give you a chance to stay away from (y/n)."

Reo raised an eyebrow and smirked back. "And what if I don't?"

He showed him the white mask they use to summon masked ayakashis. "Then you'll have to die."

Reo's smirk grew wider as he stood. "And do you think I'm scared to die? Go ahead and do it for all I care."

Sorata scowled. "We could have disposed of Riku and (y/n) right there if you-"

"Do you even want to?"

The ash blonde stopped and stared at him in surprise.

"Do you even want to kill her?" His sharp blue eyes piercing into his crimson ones. "I doubt that you even want to stay with that man let alone kill your master who you searched probably for almost a hundred years."

"What do you even know?"

"You're a liar. To others and to yourself. You wanted to stay with her the most more than anyone. You were jealous of Riku. You were jealous of how he gets to stay with her while you don't." Reo answered which surprised the boy. "You're probably staying with that sorcerer waiting to betray him for (y/n)."

"Shut up. That's not true." Sorata clenched his fist.

"What? More lies? Are you going to make yourself believe your own lies? Go ahead and manipulate your own mind. You're only destroying yourself."

"I said shut up!" Sorata drew a boundary towards him only to cut the wires connected to the post.

Reo didn't bothered to dodge it because he knew it wouldn't inflict too much damage. He touched the shallow cut it created. "Not even as sharp as paper. Did I hit a nerve, perhaps?"

"You don't know anything." He glared at dark haired boy. "You don't know the truth."

"Concealing the truth and replacing it with lies again and again. Do you still even know yourself?"

His crimson eyes widened in surprise of the sudden question. "That's not... true. It's not the... truth."

"Only a liar is capable to know a fellow liar." Reo muttered, his blue eyes softening for a second.

"I'll kill you too, someday." In a blink of an eye, the ash blonde haired boy disappeared.

Reo sighed in relief as the boy left. He looked at his palm while recalling what he said earlier.
