Now, it's time for the reunion. My family stay in our outfits from the interview and get a few touch ups. We walk in to the huge ballroom where the party will be held everyone is just about there. Right away I spot Annie and Finn, Annie's son. His actual name is Finnick, but Peete and I have known him as Finn since we were younger. He's only 2 years older than me, so he's 15, and I've always had a crush on him. I like him, not love him like my dad did my mom. But he's too much of a friend to actually date him so we only flirt sometimes. I guess its safe to say were friends with benefits. My parents seem to notice them too and we all walk up to them. Annie is wearing a peach colored strapless dress that's a little baggy and loose on the bottom and it looks beautiful on her. Finnick is wearing classic tuxedo with black bow tie, shoes like my dads, and his hair spiked up a little. He looks cute. And he looks just like his dad. Some of my friends still freak at the fact that I'm friends with Finnick Odair Jr. I don't see the big deal. I mean, yeah he's handsome, but all the victors are friends so its not a big shocker? The last time I saw him was a year ago when him and Annie were in District 12 visiting us. Finnick and I are always pranking people. The last visit we plastered the doorways. It was pretty funny because my dad, being the dork he is, was the only one who ran into them. We didn't do Annie's because we didn't want her to freak since she's still a little unstable. He walked into his bedroom door one, Peete's bedroom door when he went to wake him, and mine when he went to wake me. But Finn and I slept in the living room so I wasn't there and plus we were hiding and watching.

"Hi guys!" Annie says happily. She hugs us all and so does Finnick. "You all look amazing."

"Thank you. So do you guys." My mom says. We all sit down at the table where Annie and Finn were and had seats saved for us. They send Finn and I to go get some desserts and we do so.

"So how have you been?" Asks Finn with a warm smile.

"Same old, same old." I reply. "You?"

"Same old, same old." He says mocking my tone making me chuckle. We get to the table and there's loads of decisions. There's more than one type of cookie, cupcake, cake, candy, beverages, fruits. Even a chocolate fountain. It's just too much. I guess that's how they party here in the Capitol. He gets a handful of each bowl of candys and puts it into one. There's already drinks at the table so we don't take any. Finn and I are cracking jokes like old times. I'm just about done getting the plate of dessert while Finn is saying some ridiculous stuff.

"Hey. Need some help." Says a familiar voice from the opposite side of the table. Finn and I look up and see him. Hunter. The one person I didn't think of when this reunion was announced to me. Of course he would be here. And of course he'd walk up and talk to me out of no where. I always felt something weird between Finn and Hunter. They never said they didn't like each other, its like an unspoken tension between them. I give him a glare and walk away quickly with the dessert plate with Finn following behind.

"Woah!" He says stopping me by standing in front of me. "What happened? I thought you two were dating or...something." he says a little disgusted at the last part.

"It didn't work out." I say in a low voice only he could hear, which really isn't necessary.

"Tell me." He says in a way that makes me give in without even having to think about it. I tell him everything quickly cause were still holding the desserts and our families are waiting. But some how yesterdays text conversation gets in my story. We were on our way to the train station when I got a text from Hunter. I find it weird that even though he texted me, I still didn't think that maybe he'd be here at this party. He was trying to start a conversation with me like nothing ever happened between us, just like he did right now.
