(Levinia)

We've finished the "Birthday Lunch" for Peete. We're all so full, I'm surprised we don't all have stomachs like my moms. We've already went to the mall before lunch and Peete got himself a new baseball glove, and it wasn't cheap. It's 3:30 and we're heading home from the bakery with Peete's cake. We all know what it looks like, except Peete. When we get to our house, Dad sets the cake on the table and we all scatter to bring our gifts out for Peete. We reveal the cake, and Peete's face lights up. He thanks my dad more than enough times and we're ready to open the presents. We're all sitting on one couch

"Here, open mom and dad's first." I say taking the wrapped gift from my dad's hands. Mine wouldn't make sense unless he saw the bows first. When he has unwrapped the present, its a black, long rectangular box containing the actual present. When he opens up the lid, a smile takes over his face as he stares at the silver objects before him.

"My own bow?! 2 of them! Thank you so much!" Peete says excitedly. He tackles my dad with a hug and gives me mom a gentle hug and kiss on the cheek. "But what am I supposed to shoot with?" He asks puzzled. I take my present that's been covered with yellow wrapping paper. He unwraps it and see through the clear case, 12 silver bows to go with his 2 bows.

"Levinia, you got this?" He asks shocked. I don't know why though.

"Yup. Why?" I reply.

"Because its awesome!" He reaches over and gives me nice loving hug. I kiss his temple to show I love him too, and we disconnect from each other. "Cake?" Peete asks, looking to mom. Before mom answers there's a knock at the door.

"I got it" my dad says making his way to the door. A few seconds later he's walking back into the living room with 3 other humans. Haymitch, Annie, and Finn. I completely forgot they make their trip every year for our birthdays and we do the same for them. Finn didn't mention any of it this this morning when we were texting. Haymitch is carrying a huge box that looks a little heavy. Finn's carrying a smaller rectangular box, and Annie's carrying a blue envelope with Peete's name.

"Hey! We were waiting for you guys!" My mom says getting up from the couch and greeting Annie and Finn with a hug. Haymitch takes a deep sigh after placing the big present beside Peete.

"Here you go, kid" he bends down to ruffle up his hair. "Happy Birthday". Peete gives him a shy smile and looks over at his gift. Haymitch walks over to me and knocks on my cast.

"What'd you do to yourself?" He asks.

"Gymnastics." I simply say.

"Happy birthday, little man!" Finn says setting the present he was holding beside Haymitch's present. Annie sets the envelope on top of the present and greets Peete as he stands up to give her a hug.

"Happy Birthday, once again!" She says cheerfully. Afterwards Annie gives me a hug and the next one in line is Finn, my boyfriend. He gives me a nice big hug around my mid section that lifts me off the ground alittle while my arms are around his neck. He gives me a quick peck on my cheek before we pull apart.

"It wasn't too long ago we saw each other." He states.

"Finn, don't you have school?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"We start our break a little earlier than you guys do. We started this week and end next week when you guys start." He explains. "What happened here?" He asks lifting up my casted wrist, practically my arm. I tell him what happens while Peete opens up the last minute presents. He opens up Annie and Finn's card first first and inside is $30 dollars. He tears apart the paper and under the box displays on the outside a orange helicopter. Peete thanks them just as much as he did my dad before. He opens up Haymitch's surprise and is happy to find his very own bike. It's red and black and its not a little bike with training wheels. He already knows how to ride one, and its in between a regular bikes size, and a toddler one. It's the perfect size for him. We eat some cake, sing happy birthday, spend about an hour and a half together. It's been a while since Finn's been to 12, so he suggests we go for a walk around it so he can see it. We walk from the Victors Village into the town. We hold hands with our fingers intertwined. We don't act like most couples who are shy around each other. Were the same old, best friends, Levinia and Finn. I blush from time to time though, maybe at the thought of him being my boyfriend. When were in town there's, as always looks, and especially more now that Finn's with me. Some girls our age whisper to each other or squeal a little when we pass. I guess they're not used to Finn and his looks like I am. He stops me by standing in front of me and not letting go of my hand. Were stopped a little bit in front of Peete's school.
