CHAPTER - 4 Disappointed

Ananya reached the station in half an hour. All through the taxi- ride, she kept on glancing at the picture that Ganguly sir had forwarded to her.There was something different in his looks which amazed. After that incident, she had not even tried to indulge in all these things, but somehow,she felt a strong connection towards him. She got down from the taxi and made her way through the crowd.The station was as busy as always. Announcements of trains being delayed made it's way to her ears.She sensed the utter chaos and called up Ganguly Sir.He picked up after 2 rings.

Sir: Yes, Ananya, what is it?

Anu: Sir, hello, can you hear me?

Sir: Yeah, tell me, what is it?

Anu: Sir, do you know on which platform his train is arriving at?

Sir: Yeah, ... I think...

Anu: What?

Sir: I think it's platform ....

Before he could finish, Ananya spotted a familiar face in the crowd. It was him.

Anu: Never mind, I got him.

She quickly disconnected the call and went up to him. He was sitting in a bench, fiddling with his phone. Ananya tapped his shoulder.

Anu: Excuse me?

He turned to face her.

Anu: Hi, I'm Ananya. Ganguly sir sent me to pick you up.

Boy: Hi, I'm Daksh.Daksh Verma.

They both did a formal handshake. Ananya was somewhat dissapointed.She pictured him to be humble or a little too friendly, but he did not turn up that way. He had a cold exterior and a somewhat coldness in his features. He paused for a reply.

Daksh: Excuse me,..

Anu: Huh, yeah....yeah. Come on, let's go.

Daksh: Yeah, sure.

She nodded and started walking ahead .There was an awkward silence between them. Anu decided to start the conversation.

Anu: So, sports quota?

Daksh: Yeah, boxing.

Anu: Oh, so you are a boxer. Great. Ganguly sir will be pleased to train you.

Daksh: Yeah,it's been years since I met him. It'll be good to see him after such a long time.

Anu: How does your family know him?

Daksh: Yeah, he and my father are cousins.

Anu: Oh. Who's in your family?

Daksh stopped mid- track and looked at her.Ananya nervously gulped.

Anu: Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude.

Daksh: No, it's just.... I have a sister and a father.

Anu: Younger or elder sister?

Daksh: Younger. She's in the second year in your college. Graduation.

Anu: Oh.

Daksh: So.. you wanna take a cab or..?

Anu: Huh?

Daksh: We need to go..We are already outside.

Ananya glanced at her surroundings and realized that they were already outside the station.

Anu: Oh, yeah. Let's take a taxi.

Daksh nodded. They hired a taxi and got in it. And all the way back, Ananya kept feeling stupid about thinking too much earlier....

Guys, I know this chapter is short. I have a lot going in and around me, so very sorry about that.I promise the next chapter will be long and with lots of twists.
