Ananya was siting idly in her bed, looking at Daksh's picture which Ganguly sir had given her. She still had it in her phone and God knows why, she didn't delete it.It was like she was getting more and more attracted to him each time she looked into his brown eyes.There was a feeling growing inside her which she forcibly tried to dismiss, but couldn't.
'He isn't the right kind of person for you',she reminded herself.
Just then there was a sharp knock at the door. Ananya got up and opened the door. She found a sweet looking girl, standing there with her bagpacks.
Girl: Are you Ananya Mathur?
Anu: Yes.May I know who you are?
Girl: If I said 'no', would you not ask?
Anu: Yeah.....no...I mean..
Girl: I'm Mitali Gupta. Your new roommate.
Anu: Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Come in.
She ushered Mitali in. Mitali was pleased to see that the room was better than what she had expected. There were two beds which were separated by a bed-side table.There was a picture kept on the table. Mitali picked it up and observed it carefully.

Mitu: Hey, isn't that Shayantani?
Anu: Have you met her?
Mitali: Yeah, I met her this morning. I almost spend half of the day with her.
Anu: Yeah, she is like that. She is a master at befriending people and making them feel like they know her for ages.
Mitu: Yeah, that's true.
Anu: So, Mitali, tell me about yourself.
Ananya sat on her bed and Mitali on the other one.
Mitu: Alright,...um...I'm from Dehradun. I came here in scholarship. Politics.And I'm very sarcastic.
Anu: I'll keep that in mind.
Mitu: Well, I'm good with the good and worst with the worst. I don't like pretending at all. If I don't like someone, you can clearly sense that through my tone with which I talk to them.
Anu: You're a forward person.
Mitu: Yeah, you got me right. Hey, I've been talking about myself a lot, what about you?
Anu:(laugh) Honestly, I'm a much better listener than a speaker.
Mitu: Oh, we are gonna be great friends. I'll do the talking and you'll do the listening. Uff, such a nice friendship!
Anu: Obviously, yaar. We're gonna be great friends.
Mitu: For that to happen, I need to know you. Introduce me to the real Ananya Mathur?
Anu: Well, I'm a very fun-loving person. I am a nerd though. People think I'm a little introvert. I find it hard to socialize with people.And....what else....um.....yeah, I'm a kathak dancer. I love dancing.There you go.....that's me.
