Standing at the door was Adi. And he looked shocked as hell.
Taps: Uh.....Adi......tumne kuch suna to nahi na?
Adi didn't speak. He was still in shock.
Taps: Adi, are you okay?
Adi:(confused voice) Tu......Ru.......tum.....dono?
Ruhaan: Adi, dekh tu jaisa soch rahi hai na.......actually tu jaisa soch rahi hai vaisa hi hai. Lekin...
Taps: Lekin hum nahi chahte the ki kisi ko bhi kuch bhi pata chale. We didn't wanna hex this before it grew into something concrete. Hum dono k liye yeh sab bohot naya hai.
Adi: How long has this been going on?
Tapasya and Ruhaan both looked at each other with nervousness.
Ruhaan; Uh......
Taps: A month.......
Adi: A MONTH?!! AND YOU TWO DIDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING!
Taps: Adi....try to understand.....hum khud bhi sure nahi the ache se........we are new to this.
Ruhaan: Tapasya sahi bol rahi hai yaar. Try to see it this way.....
Adi; I don't wanna see it any way, alright?! You both are my best friends! I don't expect you to go around lying about your relationship!
Taps: Adi, we said we're sorry. What do you want us to do?
Adi: I'm not talking to you, Tappu!
Ruhaan: Adi...
Adi: Shut up! I'm not talking to you , either!
The gang gathered behind Adi hearing the commotion.
Shanu: What's going on , guys?
Adi: Ruhaan and Tapasya are in a relationship!
The gang chorused in a 'WHAT?!'
Mitali: I knew something was going on!
Shanu: Wow! Congrats guys!
Adi; No! Don't congratulate them! They have been hiding their relationship for like a month!
The gang chorused another 'WHAT?!'
Mitali: I knew something had to be wrong! My finger nails hadn't grown at all yesterday.
All of them looked at her with confused expressions.
Mitali: It's true.
Adi: Anyways, we are moving away from the point. The point is (facing Tapasya and Ruhaan) that you lied to us!
Ruhaan; We didn't lie to you. We just kept the truth a secret.
Taps: What's wrong in keeping a secret?
Adi; What's wrong is that you don't keep secrets from your friends. Friends don't lie.
Taps: Adi! Stop being dramatic and listen to me! Kabse bole ja raha hai!
Adi: Am....
Taps: CHUP! Ab mai bolungi aur tu sunega!(Taking a deep breath) Hum dono ne yeh secret sirf isliye hi rakha kyunki hum nahi chahte the ki tum logo ko hurt ho. Especially tum, Adi. Humein darr tha ki agar hum yeh relationship work out nahi kar paye to isse hum to affect honge hi......usse bhi zyada tum log affect hoge. Kyunki hum dost hai , Adi. Hum tumhe uss situation mein nahi dalna chahte the jisme tumhe hum mese kisi ek ko choose karna pare. You get it?
Adi remained quiet.
Ruhaan: Sorry, ki tumhe iss tarah pata chala Adi.
After a moment of awkward silence, Adi said,
Adi: Thik hai. Iss bar maaf kar raha hu, par ayinda aisa kuch chupaya na, to .....
Ruhaan: We promise hum tujhse kabhi kuch nahi chupayenge.
Adi's lips slowly curved into a smile.
Adi; My two best friends are in love!
Saying that, he hugged both of them. Everyone laughed at his innocence. Mitali stood in the corner and smiled, while the others joined in the group hug.
Ruhaan: Arey Mitali! Tu vaha kyu khadi hai?
Mitali's trail of thoughts were interrupted. She smiled and joined them.
I guess two can't keep a secret?

Mitali stood at Ruhaan's porch , gazing at the cloudy night sky. The rest of the gang had decided to take a break and thus were busy doing different things.
Mitali sighed heavily. Just then , Adi crouched behind her and placed his hand on her shoulder. She didn't turn but smiled.
Mitali: Lagta hai baarish hone vali hai, nahi?
Adi : Ha . Ab badal hai, to baarish hone ki possibility bhi hai.
Mitali; Adi, ek baat puchu?
Adi; Maine kabhi tumhe kisi baat se mana kiya hai kya?
Mitali: Nahi. (Facing Adi) Tumhe kabhi aisa laga hai ki tum jab kisi k paas hote ho.....to ek ajeeb si energy kam karne lagti hai.....ek alag hi ahsaas hone lagta.....unki smile hi tumhare liye sab ban janti hai.....and you....just want to see them........happy all the time?
Adi looked at her with surprise in his eyes. Had she somehow got to know about his feelings for her?
Adi; Uh....
Mitali: Choro. Mai bhi na, kya kya sawal puchti rehti hu!
Adi: Uh.....Ha. Maine aisa feel kiya hai.
Mitali: Sach mein?
Adi: Ha. Mai jab bhi uske paas hota hu......tab mujhe yeh sab feel hota hai.......(Leaning closer to her) Voh jab bhi mere samne hoti hai........meri ankhein usi pe jake theher jati hai......uski smile......mera din acha bana deti hai.............Uski har bat mujhe jadoo jaisi lagti hai........Voh jab hasti hai.........mai hasta hu. Voh jab paas hoti hai na.....to aisa lagta hai.......ki jaise,.........puri duniyaa ruk si jati hai.
Mitali gazed his eyes. She again found herself admiring his beautiful green eyes.When he suddenly started laughing,
Adi;(laughing) Wow! Maina itna cheesy line kaha aur tumne koi remark nahi diya?
Mitali was caught off guard. She fumbled for words.
Mitali: Shayad.......shayad........mujhe.......cheesy line o se......utni bhi nafrat nahi hai....
Adi smiled and touched the tip of her nose.
Adi: Coooooool.
Suddenly, it started raining. Mitali and Adi looked at each other and smiled.
Adi: Tum to sahi nikli!
Mitali: Tum bhi.
Adi looked outside while Mitali kept looking at him. She smiled and stepped in the rain outside.
Adi: Arey! Mitali! Kya kar rahi ho? Bheeg jaogi!
But Mitali didn't turn back. She was as happy as a child. She was in love.
And she felt divine!
