So, in the last chapter, I asked you guys that which couple's confrontation, would you like to see in this chapter. As guessed, many of you said Tapsaan! So here you go! Enjoy!
After everybody left,
Ruhaan:(turning towards Tapasya)Tapasya , Mai Mahir chacha se keh kar guest room saaf karwa deta hu. Tum aaj raat vahi reh lena.
Tapasya nodded slightly.
Ruhaan : I'll just come.
Taps: Yeah, sure.
Ruhaan went in his house and did the necessities. Tapasya entered the house and found him sitting on the couch.
Ruhaan: Tumhara room taiyar ho gaya hai. So jao.
Taps: Aur tum?
Ruhaan: Mujhe kuch kaam hai.
Taps: Kya kaam?
Ruhaan: Kuch hai, bas. Ab so jao.
Tapasya didn't say any further.She quietly went to the room allotted to her. Ruhaan looked at the retreating figure with a frown.
Was his behavior towards Tapasya really justified ? I mean, yeah, she had done something that did not please him. But was being rude to her the only solution to their problem? He knew that he still loved her like insane. And maybe that was the reason it hurt so much. You don't hurt the people you love. Well, intentionally, you don't. But you always hurt the people you love. You can't just hurt somebody you don't love.
He tossed and turned till midnight and decided that he would confront Tapasya in the morning.He would sort it out. Nothing comes at the cost of friendship.
At half past midnight, when he was finally dozing off, a loud shriek made it's way into his ears. He woke up with a jerk. The voice had come from the other end of the corridor. The guest room. Ruhaan hurried past the corridor to the guest room. He opened the door with a thud and found Tapasya sitting on the bed, with a horrified look on her face.
Ruhaan: Kya hua , Tapasya?
Tapasya was shaking, unable to say anything. He hurried beside her and held her hand.
Ruhaan: Chup ho ja....
Tapasya suddenly burst out in tears and hugged him tightly. Ruhaan caressed he hair as she tried to speak between hiccups.
Tapasya: Ru.....Voh....voh.....tu.....ja.....tu....nahi.....jayega...na?
Ruhaan: Tappu pehle shant ho ja aur phir baat kar. Ruk..
He tried to get up and pour her a glass of water.But she held on to him.
Ruhaan: Tappu, mai bas pani lane....
Taps: Nahi....nahi...please.....nahi......Mujhe chorkar mat jaa.....please.....
Ruhaan was a little taken aback by her behavior but still,
Ruhaan: Thik hai. Mai kahi....nahi...ja.....raha.
Tapasya clinged on to Ruhaan. He wiped her tears.
Ruhaan: Koi bura sapna dekha?
Tapasya nodded.
Ruhaan: Kya dekha?
Taps: Maine.....dekha.....ki......(choking) Tu......tu....mujhse.......mujhse.......dur......ja.....raha......tha.....aur....mai chahkar bhi.....tujhe rok nahi pa rahi thi.......Sab....ulta....pulat...ho chuka tha......aur......mere pas.....koi nahi tha.....It was a nightmare, Ru!
Ruhaan: (Caressing her hair) Sshhh......chup ho jaa......Kuch kahi nahi gaya, Tapasya. Mai yahi hu, tere pas. Mai tujhe chorkar kahi nahi jane vala.....That's for sure.
He looked into her eyes. Fear and Tension was evident in them.
Taps: Promise?
Ruhaan: Pakka promise.
Tapasya took a sigh of relief. She hugged him and,
Taps: I'm sorry, Ru. Mujhe tujhse jhoot nahi bolna chahiye tha. Par mai bas tujhe khush dekhna chahti thi, that's it. Tu Mitali ke sath itna time spend kar raha tha, to mujhe laga ....ki ........
Ruhaan: Ki I'll be happy if you befriend her too, right?
Taps: Right. Mujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha. I know, I'm so so so sorry. Mai kabhi bhi tujhse jhoot nahi bolungi, I promise! Mujhe pata hai tu kitna hurt hua hoga. I'm really sorry, Ru.
Ruhaan: Bas Bas,......itna sorry....bolegi, to tere pas bad ke liye sorry kam par jayenge!
Taps: (chuckling slightly) To tujhse borrow kar lungi! Vaise bhi tere pas to bohot sare honge. Aaj tak teri kisi ko sorry bolne ki naubat kaha aayi hai?
Ruhaan: I'm sorry too. Mujhe bhi tere sath aise behave nahi karna chahiye tha. I overreacted.
Taps: No, you didn't. Tera pura hak hai mujh par gussa hone ka. Tujhe jhoot se kitni nafrat hai, yeh mai achi tarah janti thi. But still , I went for it. Please tu sorry mat bol, Ru.
Ruhaan: Par phir bhi.....I shouldn't have behaved that way. Meri bhi galti hai, I'm sorry.
Taps: No, I'm sorry.
Ruhaan: I'm sorry.
Taps: I'm sorry.
Ruhaan: Bola na, I'm sorry.
Taps: To maine bhi bola na , I'm sorry.
Ruhaan: I'm...ek second....ek second......agar aise hi sorry bolte rahe , to puri raat nikal jayegi, par humara yeh khatam nahi hoga!
Taps: Ha....tune sahi kaha.
Ruhaan: To ab se no sorry?
Taps: Aur no Thank you!
Ruhaan smiled and looked into her eyes. Her hazel eyes. He felt he could stare at them all night long. Tapasya too, found herself getting lost in his eyes. His dark earnest eyes.They didn't need words . They just looked at each other and smiled.
Ruhaan: Tapasya......
Taps: Hm?
Ruhaan looked at her for a while and then said,
Ruhaan: Kuch nahi. So jaa....
Saying that, he got up to leave but Tapasya pulled him back.He sliped and losing balance, fell on her. Their eyes locked as their hearts connected. As he stared into her eyes, he couldn't think that he would love her any more than he did that moment. Until, tomorrow arrived.....
Tapasya slowly closed her eye lids, drowsing off to sleep. Ruhaan gazed at her, falling asleep. Once she was asleep, he slowly got up. Picking her up in his arms , he made her sleep properly o the bed. He sat beside her and gazed at her sleeping.
And after a few centuries collapsed, the clock stuck 3, and he dozed off to sleep too............
