Chapter-43 Can't Help Falling For You

Adi sat down on the floor , exhausted.

Adi: Arey yaar! Mai to thak gaya yaar!

Mitali looked at him and crossed her arms around her chest.

Mitali: Humein kaam karte huye ek ghanta bhi nahi hua hai, aur tum abhi se thak gaye!

Adi made a face. Mitali went up to him and sat down next to him. Running her fingers through his hair, she said,

Mitali:(cute voice) Kya hua? The Aditya Sinha , college ka stud boy, football champion, rockstar, itne chote se kam se har man gaya? Aww.

Adi made a face again and Mitali laughed out loud.

Adi: Chalo ek baat to achi hui iss sab se!

Mitali: Acha, aur voh kya?

Adi: Mujhe yeh jan ke khushi hui ki tum mere baare mein research karti ho.

It was Mitali's turn to be dumbfounded. For the first time in her life, she was at a loss of words.

Mitali: Um...aisa kuch nahi hai. Voh to yeh sab mujhe Shayantani ne bataya tha!

Adi: To tumne usse mere baare mein pucha , right?

Mitali; Uh.....uh......to mai nayi hu! To janna to banta hai na?

Adi; Hmm.......to tumne sabke baare mein itni hi research ki hai?

Saying that, he leaned close to her. Mitali nervously looked at him. His face was inches away from hers. She quickly got up saying,

Mitali: Um....humein kaam karna chahiye , Adi. Principal sir varna bohot datenge. Come on, utho!

Adi reluctantly got up and stood next to her.

Adi: To bolo mujhe kya karna hai?

Mitali: Mere sath greenrooms check karne ja sakte ho?

Adi:(flirtingly) Of course! Tumhare sath to mai kahi bhi ja sakta hu!

Mitali:(Fake laugh) Ha, of course! Ab chale?

Adi nodded as she shook her head. She proceeded towards the greenroom with Adi at her heels.They were checking the room when suddenly the lights went off. Mitali screamed loudly and hugged Adi tightly.

Mitali: Adi! Mujhe......mujhe.......andhere se bohot darr lagta hai!

Adi was still in a state of surprise. He nervously placed his hand on her back , trying to calm her down.

Adi: It's okay, alright? Mai hu yaha. I'm here with you. I'm here , okay? There's no need to be afraid. Calm down, Mitali....

Mitali closed her eyes and embraced the warmth.She felt calm and relaxed in his arms. She felt comforted.She buried her face in his arms as he pulled her closer to his chest. She could hear his heart beating fast.

Adi closed his eyes and went with the flow of the moment. It was a bliss. He was surprised as to why he felt so good inside. This wasn't the first time he had held a girl this close. But why did this feel different? Why did it feel so right?

At that particular moment, they both knew that nothing could ever go wrong.......

The lights flickered back on. Mitali opened her eyes , so did Adi. They slowly pulled apart from the hug and looked at each other awkwardly. Mitali lowered her eyes and fiddled with her fingers.

Mitali: Um....uh...

Adi: Um......So I guess there was a power cut or something.

Mitali: Yeah...

Adi: So this .....uh......greenroom looks alright. Uh....I guess.....we should check out the other one.

Mitali nodded slightly. Adi nodded and proceeded towards the other greenroom. Mitali quietly followed him.

This greenroom was a little disfigured. They started arranging the things in their respective place, when suddenly Adi asked,

Adi: Vaise Mitali! Ek baat to kehni padegi!

Mitali: Kya?

Adi: Tum jaisa itna bahadur koi andhere se bhi darr sakta hai!

Mitali:(making a face) Haww! Mujhe thoda hi darr lagta hai andhere se........aur cockroach se!

Adi: (Bursting into laughter) Cockroach se?

Mitali: Kya? Voh bohot daravne hote hai! Especially flying ones! Eww!

Adi laughed some more.

Mitali: Haso haso! Aur haso! Kaam to tumhe karna hai hi nahi!

Adi:(controlling his laughter) Acha baba sorry! Ab nahi hasunga ! Promise!

Mitali gave him a look and turned to rearrange the things. Adi smiled  slyly and suddenly screamed,

Adi: Mitali! Cockroach!

Mitali: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! KAHA?!!

Adi again burst out with laughter. Mitali took a book kept nearby and started hitting him.

Mitali: Adi!

Adi laughed uncontrollably and suddenly pulled her by arm, close to him. He stopped laughing. She looked at him nervously. Their faces inches away from one another's.

Adi; Jab tak mai hu, tumhe kisi cheez se darne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Got it?

Mitali fumbled for words. She felt herself immersing in his green eyes.She slightly nodded.

And that's when she realized that she was falling in love with him.

For reals.
