Eighteen

Courtney's POV:

The party went by quickly and soon enough, I went up to WinWin's room to hang out for a while, waiting for everyone to leave. I laid my head down on the pillow as WinWin did the same, putting his arm around me lightly. "You should get some rest." He said, looking at me. "I want to but what if my dad sees I'm not home." I said, worried as I realized he could be home any minute. "Maybe I should get you home then." He frowned, not wanting me to go but I didn't really have much of a choice.

"Yeah...I guess we should go, though I wish I could stay here and cuddle with you tonight." I admitted as I hugged him. "I know, but we can't risk being caught babe." He said as he stood up, taking me with him. I sighed and walked with him, making our way downstairs to the door, waving everyone goodbye as we made our way out. "I'm sorry for all of this and for the way I acted earlier...I don't even know why I decided to bring you to a party on our first date." He said as he sighed.

"I had fun just being with you...and the dinner was beautiful." I reassured him. "Really? You had a good time? I know I'm new to this whole taking a girl out thing but I was really hoping you would have a good time and I'd like to keep seeing you." He said, making my heart flutter. "I want to keep seeing you too." I said. The two of us walked hand in hand until we made it across the street from my house. "I'll text you later okay." He smiled at me and looked around to make sure no one was watching.

"I really like you WinWin." I smiled as he leaned in for a kiss. He kissed me on the lips slowly before speaking. "It's Sicheng...that's my real name. Dong Sicheng. WinWin is just my nickname." He said shyly. "Sicheng..that's such a cute name." I smiled as he became shy. "Well Sicheng, I'll see you soon." I said, kissing him on the cheek before turning and leaving him speechless and shy.

A few days went by and I heard nothing from WinWin, he wouldn't answer my calls or my texts and I was really worried. Suddenly my dad came in, making me throw my phone down. "Hey, just wanted to tell you I can't spend time with you today. We'll have to reschedule daddy daughter day for another night. Something came up at work." He said as he started to close my door back. "It's okay." I said, not really feeling like hanging out with him anyways cause I was too damn worried about Sicheng.

"You sure? I'll make it up to you." He said, I nodded and he left. Soon after, my phone lit up, I grabbed it quickly and realized it was WinWin finally calling me back. "WinWin oh my god are you okay? I have been trying to reach you for days. I even went to the hangout and you weren't there. I miss you." I frowned and awaited an explanation for why he suddenly disappeared.

"I'm so sorry Courtney, something suddenly came up, an emergency mission, these guys attacked us, a few of the guys got hurt, I just didn't want you involved with all of that stuff....and I miss you too." he said, making me even more worried. "You were attacked?!" I yelled before realizing I needed to be quiet, my dad could still be in the house somewhere. "Yes babe, we're hiding out now...still on our mission-" he started to explain more before I cut him off.

"Did you get hurt? WinWin where are you at, I want to be with you." I cried. "No Courtney you don't need to come here, it's dangerous." He said, making me mad. "Damn it Sicheng, I want to be with you. I'm part of you guys now aren't I? I can help. I am trained in martial arts and weaponry." I explained, making him sigh. "Fine, we're at the old tobacco factory hiding out, I'll meet you outside, baby please be careful okay." He said, not wanting to upset me further.

"I'm on my way now." I said, hanging up the phone and changing into some stealthy clothes before grabbing my sniper rifle out of the closet, my favorite weapon I had learned how to use since childhood. I was determined to prove myself to them and become one of them and maybe one day if my dad somehow found out, he would accept me...and me being with WinWin.

I slowly made my way to the abandoned tobacco factory that WinWin had talked about, taking the back alleyways and streets, not exactly wanting to be spotted carrying a sniper rifle on my back. How would I even explain myself? Oh yeah, my boyfriend is in the mafia and I'm going to help him fight off some thugs. Like who would even believe me? Anyways, as I neared the factory, I became more attentive to my surroundings, knowing someone could be anywhere out here creeping around.

I also couldn't believe this was technically my first ever mission with the mafia...maybe they would finally let me be one of them and I could finally live out my destiny. My destiny of being in the mafia but the plus side of having a hot, sweet boyfriend along side it. Finally I spotted WinWin at the sidd of the building so I slowly made my way towards him until I saw someone sneaking up beside him, making me panic and grab my sniper rifle off my back, pointing it at the man.

I aimed the gun at his leg, pulling the trigger quickly and quietly due to my sensor. Sicheng jumped and saw the man in pain behind him before looking around until I finally walked out of the dark, his face falling as he saw me. "You saved my life." He said, facing me as we stood a few feet apart. Before I could say anything else, he ran to me and held me in his arms, kissing me so deeply and completely forgetting about the injured man on the ground beside us as did I, getting lost in his soft lips.
