Ten

WinWin's POV:

"Wait..she's-" Taeyong said as he looked at me confused. "The boss has a daughter?" Jungwoo questioned as he stepped closer to me. I nodded before speaking again. "Yes, he has a daughter, I didn't even know until she told me but you can't tell anyone that I am seeing her okay, the boss would kill me." I said. Everyone stayed quiet for a moment as they processed everything I've been telling them. "You must really like this girl huh?" Mark asked. I didn't even hesitate to answer that question. "Yes I do, I may have just met her but she is such an amazing girl, she's smart, funny and can stand up for herself." I blushed as I thought about her.

"Aww, look hyung is blushing." Mark said, making me deny it. "So it is settled, we will protect Courtney and Doyoung can shut the fuck up." Taeyong said, making me sigh in relief. "Thank you guys." I said as they all walked over yo hug me. "It's what we're here for man, family sticks together." Doyoung said, surprising me. Eventually the hug ended and I realized one person wasn't here. "Where's Lucas?" I asked. They all looked at me as if it was obvious. "He's out with his woman right now." Jaehyun said, making me quickly get the point.

"Okay nevermind." I said, walking off a bit. "So why aren't you with your's?" Jungwoo asked as he took a sip of his drink. "We're going to take things slow and plus is it really safe for me to be at her house with her when the boss is there?" I said, making them nod understandingly. "Makes sense." Jaehyun said. "Hey WinWin, what is that on your jacket?" I heard Doyoung say, making me look down to see the blood stain on my jacket. "Oh uh...that's.." I started to say while trying to come up with a story as to why it was there but Taeyong cut me off before ai could.

"You killed someone tonight... didn't you?" He said. "I..I don't know what came over me..he was just trying to hurt Courtney and I lost it. I told her to run away and when she did, I ended up shooting him..he didn't die but he took off. What if he comes back and tries to hurt her? It will be all my fault." I panicked, having to take a seat as the others tried to calm me down. "It's going to be okay, we won't let anything hurt her. And you're a good guy, we know you'll do anything you can to protect her too." Taeyong said as he patted my back.

"You know what? Maybe you should stay with her tonight..to make sure no one followed her." Doyoung said, patting me on the back too as an apology for how he acted before. "But..what if I get caught?" I asked, wondering how I would even be able to pull that off or if I should even go, I don't want to seem clingy. "I've never liked a girl before, I don't know how this works.." I said, sighing. "Go to her hyung." Mark said, playfully punching my shoulder. "Alright I will!" I said while standing up. "And be careful okay. We'll keep an eye on things incase that guy is still around." Taeyong said, surprising me as he stood up, along with the others. "Where are you guys going?" I raised an eyebrow at them.

They looked at me as if it was obvious where they were going. "We're going to make sure you get there safe hyung." Jungwoo said. I nodded and they followed me out of out hangout and onto the road. I wondered how they would be sneaky about it and not so suspicious as several guys walking down the street all at once would be but I quickly realized they were following a bit behind me and on both sides of the road. I nervously clenched my fist, looking around myself to make sure no one was watching or that no one was going to sneak up on me.

I stopped suddenly, making the other guys look at me funny as I walked off the sidewalk. "What's wrong WinWin?" I heard Mark whisper in a loud tone. I waved my hand at them to signal it was okay as I walked up to a bush with roses on it. I looked around to make sure no one was outside before quickly plucking one off of the bush and walking quickly back to the sidewalk where the others waited. I tried to hide the flower from them to avoid seeming soft but failed as Jungwoo saw it. "Aww, look, hyung got her a rose. He must really be love struck." I blushed to myself, thinking that was exactly the case. It was like romeo and juliet, our love was forbidden and and it formed so quickly.

Though I didn't love her quite yet, I liked her very much. I shrugged it off and walked faster until I saw her house in the distance. I motioned towards the guys behind me and the two on the other side of the road to let them know that this was her house coming up and they backed off a bit. "Be safe." I heard Jaehyun say from across the road. I nodded my head and took off to her house which was now across the street as the others quickly fled while I now noticed the window in front of the house was open and I could see the boss and two guys on the couch with him. I quickly but quietly tiptoed to where I had seen Courtney go to earlier which must be her room.

I put the rose in my mouth and climbed up the lattice, careful not to alert anyone and managed to get up to her window. I took a deep breath and wondered if I should even go through with this. I finally just gave in and lightly tapped on her window. I was shocked as she moved the curtains and had a small knife in her hand which she quickly put down before opening the window, rubbing her tired eyes and putting her glasses back on. "WinWin? What are you doing here?" She said, scratching her head in confusion. "I realized I should be here to protect you..in case that guy from earlier comes back." I said, handing her the rose, making her blush. "So thoughtful..come in." She said quietly, helping me up while I accidentally fell on her onto her bed.

Courtney's POV:

I blushed as I looked up into WinWin's eyes while he looked into mine as our bodies remained pressed together on the bed. It was only a moment before WinWin quickly rolled over and sat up, closing the window and waiting awkwardly for me to say something as I sat the rose down. "Well..maybe we should get to sleep, it is really late." I said. He nodded and got off my bed, earning a confused look from me. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Going to sleep?" He wondered what the problem was. "In the floor?" I questioned as I laughed slightly at his cute frustration written on his face.

"You can sleep up here with me." I smiled at him and patted beside me on the bed, not knowing why I was like this but deciding to live in the moment. He blushed and took his jacket off before laying down beside me while I covered him up. We faced each other for a while, not saying a word as I fought the urge to kiss him. "I know we said we would take things slow but damn I want to kiss you so bad right now." He said, making my face heat up and my heart race. "I want to kiss you too." I whispered.

"How about we start taking things slow tomorrow?" He winked at me. I smiled and bit my lip before responding. "Okay." With that, he leaned forward and started kissing me deeply, slinging my leg onto his as he grasped my thigh. I got so lost into kissing him that I forgot about even going to sleep. But a certain thought remained in the back of my head.
