Courtney's POV:
I walked along with him, but at a safe enough distance to where we wouldn't seem like we were walking together. I watched his footsteps as he walked ever so gracefully a few feet ahead of me, a bit too graceful for a man of the mafia, it was as if he were secretly an angel in disguise. I longed for his touch as I noticed his hand swinging back and forth but knowing as we got closer and closer to town, I knew it wouldn't be the best idea to hold his hand right now.
So I came up with another idea...
"WinWin" I whispered, hoping he would hear me, but he didn't so I tried again. "WinWin!" I whispered even louder, this time catching his attention as he slowed down while we neared a building, him glancing back at me from the corner of his eye to seem as if he wasn't speaking with me. "What's wrong?" He whispered, waving awkwardly to the people who walked by, must be people he knew from the mafia. I shut up for a moment and waited for them to pass before speaking again.
"I need to ask you something." I said, my heart beating out of my chest. I didn't speak as I grabbed his hand, not thinking and running off the the side of a building. He was very confused however, he didn't pull away and just went on with me until I stopped. "We were almost there, what is it?" He pouted. I stepped closer and closer to him nervously, holding his hand tightly. "I was wondering if...before we get there...maybe you could...kiss me again?" I smiled sweetly at him, hiding my nerves.
Inside my heart began to beat harder and harder like a drum in an orchestra as he smiled back, leaning forward and coming closer to my lips. "You wanna kiss me that bad huh?" He smirked but in a cute way if that makes sense. I nodded, unable to find words to answer him. He got closer and as our lips were about to touch and I could feel his breath on my lips, he stopped. Before I could ask what was wrong, he pulled me extremely close to him and away from the wall, dipping me down and looking me in the eyes for only a moment before leaning down and kissing me hard.
His lips went perfectly with mine as I kissed him back while he deepened the kiss. As I awaited him to do more, he pulled away, standing me up beside him. "Wha-" I couldn't even finish before he was walking away...smirking. "WinWin!" I yelled as he walked faster and faster. He took off running as I chased after him, all the way to their hideout. He stopped without giving me a chance to and I ran into him, tackling him to the ground. Both of us began to laugh as I laid on top of him in the grass.
"I thought we were gonna take things slow." He smiled. "Mmmm...but I don't wanna." I pouted, leaning closer to him. As I went to kiss him once more, the sound of a door opening and multiple oooo's stopped me from doing so. I looked up to see the boys I had seen at the bar the night before watching us. One of them disapproving, he must be the leader. I stood up and wiped the dirt off of myself before helping WinWin up.
"Why did you bring her here?" I heard Taeyong whisper to WinWin. The other boys began trying to make small talk with me but I could only overhear what the other two were saying. "She didn't want to be home so she called me. I'm not making her stay in that house where she is uncomfortable." WinWin said, making me smile to myself. "Aren't you aware that she is the boss's daughter? What if he comes looking for her and finds her with us. All of our asses are on the line WinWin." Taeyong complained.
I tried to hear what was said next but suddenly a loud snapping near my face took my attention away from the other conversation. "You're really zoned out aren't you?" It was Lucas, Samantha's boyfriend. I nodded and decided to talk to them while Taeyong rushed us all inside, him going off with WinWin as they continued their conversation, rather argument. "So you're the one WinWin hyung likes right?" Mark said. I blushed and nodded again, at least I hoped he liked me as much as I liked him.
"You're quiet aren't you?" Jungwoo chimed in. I became overwhelmed by all the questions and decided to just speak. "We'll...I don't really have much experience with people." Was all I said. "Yeah shut up" Doyoung said, smacking him upside the head. I knew all of their names from the late night talk I had with WinWin last night in my bed. He told me all about his friends. Another reason I wanted to meet them. It seemed dangerous but way better than being on my own.
Maybe one day I could be a part of them. Maybe one day my dad would understand. "Here sit down." Jaehyun offered a seat on the couch and I accepted, sitting down to see all of them staring at me as if I were something they had never seen before, as if I were this pure thing. They had no idea what I was capable of. How could you think that the daughter of the mafia boss hadn't had a little training on her own? I sat in discomfort as I waited for WinWin to come back, the others going off into their own conversations as they noticed I didn't want to talk much more.
Finally I saw WinWin coming back and I smiled at him. He smiled back but it seemed as if his little chat with Taeyong had taken a turn, his smile no longer had it's normal glow behind it when he looked at me, instead there was worry.
Hey guys thanks so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
What do you think the conversation between WinWin and Taeyong was about??
