Twenty Three

Courtney's POV:

"Maybe we can ask the guys for protection so we can get away from here." WinWin said as we were out of breath but continued to run, staying off of the sidewalks to avoid being seen. "I'll follow you wherever." I said as I tried my best to keep up to him, my gun on my back hitting my legs repeatedly, annoying me. We ran all the way to the bunker he had shown me before and to our fortune, the group was inside. They all gasped in surprise as we burst through the doors suddenly.

"What's wrong?" Taeyong said as he stood up and rushed over to us as we tried to breathe. "Courtney's dad caught me in her room, he's coming after us and we don't know what to do." WinWin said through deep breaths. "Well maybe he won't kill you if you were just in her room...it won't be pretty though." Doyoung said. I noticed WinWin frown and look at them with worry in his eyes, looking scared as he spoke. "I was in my boxers..." he admitted.

I grabbed WinWin's hand to calm his nerves as they got the point of what he said. "We need to get him out of here, the boss will kill him for sure." Mark spoke up as I noticed Samantha looking at me in shock. "Maybe he won't go that far as to killing him, he's been with us since the beginning." Lucas said, trying to make things positive. "If he had sex with his daughter he will be madder than we've ever seen him Lucas. We need to get them somewhere safe before he finds them." Taeyong said, making WinWin and I blush as he stated what we had done.

"I'm sorry. they need to know why we're running away." WinWin whispered to me as someone walked into the room suddenly. "Oh, you must be Courtney, WinWin's girlfriend." The girl said. I recognized her as the girl from yesterday that was with the rival group. "Yes, that's me." I said as I grew more nervous, wanting to hurry and get going as soon as possible. "I'm Maritina, it's nice to meet you." She said, smiling at me. I waved quickly and waited for Taeyong to make the call.

After a minute of thinking, he finally spoke up. "Alright guys, we need to leave now, get your weapons, we might need them later. Maritina you come with us, I will tell you what is going on along the way." Taeyong said and everyone stood up, obeying his orders as I turned to WinWin. While everyone got ready, I turned to WinWin, the two of us now the only ones in the room as everyone was off grabbing their weapons. "Are you okay-" he started to ask before I cut him off, slamming my lips onto his.

We kissed for what seemed like forever as his hand held my waist. I leaned my forehead against his after pulling away. "I will keep you safe." He said to me, pulling away and looking into my eyes. "I will do the same for you." I said without hesitation. He kissed me again quickly before everyone walked in. "Let's get out of here. The boss texted me asking if I have seen you." Taeyong said to WinWin, making me nervous. "Don't worry, I told him I haven't, we've got your back WinWin, you've always had ours so it is our time to return the favor." He continued, making him sigh in relief.

We followed the group as they lead us outside. As we began walking a long way, WinWin finally realized he had no idea where we were going. "Hyung..where are we going to?" He asked as he walked close to me. "We are going to get you to the train stop and get you far away from here." He said. He nodded and turned to me before whispering. "Are you sure you want to leave everything behind just to go with me? What about your home? Your dad? Your friends?" He said.

I sighed before answering him, whispering back. "I want to be with you. You care for me more than anyone ever has. Because of me you have to leave everything behind too." I said, holding his hand. He frowned and continued to walk. We laid low as we took backroads and paths to avoid someone seeing us. My dad had many other members of his mafia out patrolling at all times so we could run across someone at any moment on our way to the train station. Thankfully we had the rest of the group to protect us.

I decided to talk to Maritina along the walk, getting to know her better before Taeyong spoke up, loud enough for the group to hear. "We will come see you two when the coast is clear. Let's lie low in that building over there and wait for a bit before we continue. The train station isn't far from here." He said as he put his gun away, leading us to the abandoned building.

We hid our for a few hours as night time started to set in, I kept up small talk with WinWin as we sat in the corner of the room next to each other. Suddenly he spoke, making me sad. "It's all my fault, all of this, because of me we are here." He admitted. "Sicheng stop, I wanted to have sex with you last night okay, it isn't your fault, nothing is. Being with you and being intimate with you last might was worth it to me. I love you okay." I said, caressing his face gently and making him look at me.

I began to pull him closer, but before our lips could touch, Taeyong rushed in, scaring us all as he told us the bad news.
