Twenty Four

Courtney's POV:

"I think he knows our plan." Taeyong said, eyes wide as he looked at all of us. "How could he know?" Maritina said, her voice shaking. "He's outside this building right now with a bunch of guys, we are going to have to fight our way out to distract them so Courtney and WinWin can get out of here." He said. WinWin grabbed my hand protectively, knowing we might not have much of a chance to actually make it out of here together and get away from all of this. "I love you." I cried.

"I love you too." He said, kissing my cheek as we stood up to join the others. We discussed the plan and decided to split up, the others taking the front and the sides while me and WinWin snuck out the back. WinWin took my hand to lead me out as we bid everyone goodbye incase, but I stopped, making him turn and look at me, panic in his eyes as we needed to get out of there are quick as we could and hope no one would see us. "Sicheng..I don't wanna lose you." I cried, the reality of the situation hitting me harder.

"You won't lose me okay, I'm here for you, forever." He said, putting his hand on my cheek gently as we made eye contact. "Promise?" I said, a tear slipping from my eye. He wiped it away before speaking again lightly. "Promise." He said before closing the gap between us, kissing me so passionately before letting go, grabbing back onto my hand. "We really need to go now baby." He said. I nodded and followed him as we made our way to one of the back exits of the building, hoping no one would be waiting there, expecting us to try to escape like this.

I stopped as he put his hand on the door, ready to burst it open and make a run for it, the second gunshots went off, my heart sank. "Baby, stay focused, I need you to back me up okay?" He said. I nodded and took a deep breath as he began to count down. The second he made it to one, he pushed open the door and we rushed outside. The second we did, I heard a gunshot fly past me, making me turn to see a man standing there, staring us down. Without hesitation, I shot him point blank in the head and kept following WinWin.

Suddenly he was thrown to the ground by a big man who began choking WinWin, mumbling traitor and many profanities at him. "Get off of him now!" I yelled as I pointed my gun at him. "What are you gonna do about it princess, tell your daddy. You don't have the balls to shoot me and you know it, you can't save your boyfriend now." He said, continuing to choke Sicheng as he struggled to breathe. "I said stop it." I said, grabbing my gun. The second he looked up at me as WinWin looked to me for help, I looked the man in the eyes, putting my gun down slowly, grabbing a knife behind my back as WinWin looked to me confused.

"I knew it, your girlfriend is too scared to do anything WinWin. You're little princess is a weakling." He said, tightening his grip on him before I spoke. "You fucked with the wrong girl. No one touches my prince." I said, lunging at the man, throwing him off WinWin. I could hear him coughing and gasping as I stabbed the man in the abdomen. He gasped as he looked at me. "I will do anything to protect that man and don't you fucking forget it." I said, shoving the blade further in as he yelped in pain.

I pulled it out and stabbed him continuously, feeling an overwhelming anger I hadn't felt before as I killed the man before me. Eventually I felt WinWin's arms around me, pulling me away from the man. "Courtney, that's enough, he's dead. We have to go." He said, seeing the blood on me. I hugged him tightly, letting a tear fall. "Are you okay?" I said, pulling away as we stood up. I wiped the blood off of the knife as he spoke. "Yes, you saved me-" he started to say before we heard someone yell in the distance.

"Find them!" A deep voice yelled as WinWin grabbed my hand, taking me away from the building. We ran for a long time until we no longer heard the gunshots or yelling. Eventually I realized we were now at a motel. "What are we doing here?" I said, trying my best to hide my weapons so no one would see. "We are going to stay here tonight, no one will think to check here." He said, putting his hand on my arm lightly. "I trust you." I said, looking into his eyes. He smiled at me, that same smile that made me fall for him.

"Here, take these for a second and I will go book us a room." He said, handing me his weapons. I waited outside awkwardly, some people giving me weird looks as they walked quickly to their rooms. A few minutes later, WinWin walkes out of the lobby with a keycard, his hair and skin glowing in the sunlight, making my eyes widen as everything stilled. My whole life changed in such a short amount of time cause of this man but I was so in love with him that it didn't matter, all I wanted was him.

"What's wrong?" He said, stopping in front of me as he took his weapons back. "I love you." I said, smiling truly for the first time in a while. "I love you too my princess." He said, leaning forward, kissing me so gently. After we pulled apart, he took my hand. "Let's get some rest okay." He said, I nodded and we made our way to our room.
