Nineteen

Courtney's POV:

"You're good with that thing." He said, smiling at me as he pulled away from me. "Now let's get inside, we can kiss more later." I said ad I took his hand, gun in the other and lead him inside. He showed me the way to where everyone was hiding out at. "Still can't believe my woman is so tough." He said, making me blush. "I just learned how to use weapons from my dad...and I like it when you call me your's." I said, hoping he didn't hear the last part.

"You're mine and I'm your's now." He said, wrapping his arm around me as we walked into the small room where everyone was waiting. "What is she doing here?" Samantha said, panicking. "Relax guys, she belongs here with me, with us, she's one of us now and to be honest, she's a beast with that sniper rifle." He said, making me smile as he linked his arm with mine. Everyone looked to see the sniper on my side as they looked surprised.

"My dad taught me how to fight." I explained. "Welcome to the group." Mark said, followed by the others. "Now we have to come up with a plan. Our enemies could be anywhere around us. We need to figure out how to get rid of them. "I have an idea." I spoke up, making everyone look at me. "What is your idea?" Taeyong said, intrigued. "Okay so I could get up to the roof with WinWin and someone else watching my back while everyone else takes the sides of the building waiting for me to shoot the first shot." I said.

He looked like he was mapping the whole thing out in his head before speaking. "Sounds actually good, I think it might work if we are all on our guard and if your girlfriend is as good as you say she is." He said, looking to WinWin as he said the last part. "She is, I have faith in my girl." WinWin said, looking to me.

I smiled at him and awaited Taeyong's command to start our mission, my first ever mission. "Alright, we're going with the rookie's plan, WinWin, Mark, you get her up to the roof... Lucas, Samantha and Jungwoo, you take the left side..Jaehyun and Doyoung you come with me to the right side. No one shoots until that first shot goes off. Got it?" Everyone nodded and got into their own groups, me with WinWin and Mark as I began to grow nervous, if I messed up, someone could get hurt or even worse...killed.

I took a deep breath and remembered my training since childhood. "You can do this baby." I heard WinWin whisper to me. I nodded and the three of us made our way out of the room, needing to find the staircase. "We need to be on guard the whole time, Emilio's guy's could be anywhere, and who knows how many he has." Mark said as we quietly made our way up the staircase.

"I think for the first shot, we should go for one of the higher ups, if not emilio himself, then they won't know what to do." WinWin suggested from behind me. "But what if she isn't good enough to get to Emilio, I'm sure he's heavily guarded." Mark said. "I'm good enough." I said confidentely, knowing I was much better than any sniper he may have and I'd do anything to protect my new team. They were going to be like my family now.

"Just be careful, we'll keep watch for you-" Mark started to say before a gunshot suddenly went off, a bullet going right past us as we ducked. "One of his guys is hiding right where we need to go." Mark whispered, panicking. "I got this." I said, making them wonder how I was going to aim and shoot fast enough to get the guy. Before they knew it, I leapt up and grabbed a knife out of my pocket, throwing it as fast and hard as I could, sending it across the room and right into the guy's eye.

I looked back down to see both WinWin and Mark's faces ful of shock as they stood up to meet me. "I won't doubt you again." Mark said, throwing his hands up. I smiled and bowed as he began to walk ahead. "Man, my girlfriend is hot." WinWin said, making me blush and deny it. He grabbed me around the waist and left kisses on my neck as he laughed. "Guys, save the love making for another time okay? We have a mission right now." Mark said, rolling his eyes at us.

I pushed WinWin off and caught up to Mark, him right behind me as we made our way up the next few flights of stairs until we made it onto the roof. "There's someone up here with a sniper." WinWin whispered. I stepped in front of Mark and took aim, one shot and the man was down, falling off of the side of the building. I became shocked as I realized, that was my first kill. "What's wrong baby?" WinWin said as he helped me across the roof, Mark taking position ahead of us.

"I've never killed anyone before." I said, making him frown. "Sadly it's part of this job sometimes. I'm right here by your side, you can hold my hand as much as you need to... you're saving lives Courtney." he said lightly, his last statement making me much more at ease. I grabbed his hand and we took our places on the roof. Suddenly a walkie talkie went off, scaring me, Mark apologized and answered the walkie talkie I didn't even know he had.

"Okay I told Taeyong we're in position, he says everyone is ready and for you to pick a target you are sure of and make sure you don't miss." Mark said, I looked to WinWin before grabbing my gun, aiming it ahead as I looked through the scope. I spotted someone who looked official and decided to go for it. I lined it up and squeezed the trigger...
