Lightning Fast

"My head aches do you have a painkiller I can overdose with?"

Jungkook halts from carving his pencil to give his hyung a deadpan look.

"Just go back to sleep."

Jimin pouts.

"How easily you brush me away. Do I not mean anything to you?"

Jungkook rolls his eyes.

"Stop being overdramatic. Just rest up and get out of my house."

Jimin shoots up from the bed, looking around and realizing that indeed, he was laying down on Jungkook's mattress.

His brows furrow.

"How the heck did I end up here?"

The other does another eyeroll before spinning his chair to face his hyung.

"You cried on the way home, and you were so tired I offered my house. You agreed, and fell on the couch, knocked out," lists the boy with an air of nonchalance, "Then I brought you up here so your butt should be thankful."

Jimin's mouth turns downward.

"Such sass," comments the accountant, "But then again you were kind enough to offer me a bed so I give you a six out of ten."

Again, the younger stops his idle activity to stare incredulously at his hyung.

"What happened to the four points?" he asks, "Not to brag, but I think I should get the perfect ten." He shrugs.

"I took two points out from being such a sassypants, and I took another two because you're so rude when I woke."

A third eyeroll.

"Yeah, do that one more time see if I don't tell Yoongi what kind of craziness you do in your office."

A sigh from the kid.

"And I hope your irises stick to your skull," Jimin adds for good measure.

After a few more minutes of rest and Jungkook playing video games, Jimin's regained enough strength to stand.

But then both his legs wobble, and they give way for Jimin to kiss the floor.

Jungkook laughs, and his hyung glares at the rudeness.

After years of feeding him and making sure he stays away from harm, (and maybe washing his underpants) this is how he's treated when Jungkook has a job and some money.

Utterly unacceptable.

But then again his mind rethinks itself when Jungkook bends over to hoist him up, and Jimin says to himself 'Not bad for a guy with a ten-year-old mentality'.

Jungkook looks at him funny, and Jimin copies the expression.

"What's with that face?" asks Jimin suspiciously.

"You're the one looking at me like I violated you."

"Well you did."

For a second Jungkook looked utterly shocked.

"Scandalous!" he cried, and Jimin merely raises a brow like he's crazy. Which he is.

"Outta the way, brat," is all he says as he pushes Jungkook lightly to walk out.

The effect of walking out smoothly was totally ruined when his legs give way (again) which leads to him falling flat on his face.

But the painful impact never came.

Instead, when he opens his eyes, it's to feel and see that Jungkook has his hands under his armpits, preventing major damage to Jimin's face.

Awkward positions aside, the younger was still able to catch him, which Jimin was grateful for.

But wait.

Jungkook was just across the room. So how'd he get here so fast? Did he teleport or something?

The hands fall away, giving Jimin room and space to move again.

The first thing he does is turn around and around, trying to measure the distance between Jungkook's original position and his latest.

The boy's room was spacious, filled with books and papers with a big cabinet to store all his white tees and ripped jeans.

When his eyes land on the boy, he was frowning and eyeing him carefully.

"What are you doing?"

Jimin's eyes narrow in suspicion.

"How'd you get here lightning fast?" Jimin asks, really observing the other's face for any sign of deceit or lies.

Jungkook's surprised at that.

So he noticed his speed? He was trained a million times and was made to do three hundred laps each time he visited his agency.

But nowadays he's free to do whatever so long as it was related to his mission.

What can he say? What kind of white lie would be acceptable to hyung's ears?

"I went training."

That was sort of true... Right?

But Jimin continued to look him up and down, searching for any sign that he wasn't telling the truth.

Feeling that there was some kind of some unsaid words, Jimin decided to let him go. For now.

Next time he won't be so giving.

The tense atmosphere receded a bit, so Jungkook thought that he was safe.

"I'm going now," Jimin tells him, walking toward the staircase.

"Don't fall again okay?"

Other times Jimin would whack his head because it was saying that he was a klutz (which was true), but this time he felt that his neighbor was serious about it so he just waved.
