Smoke was still coming out from where the grenade had exploded, and there were no visible casualties except the two who had been there.
Beside the rocky area was a trail that led to an elevated forest.
Climb higher, and there two men would be seen sprawled out on the long grass, bruised, tired, and knocked out.
Jimin was the one who woke first, head aching and body tingling from all the recent fuss.
What the heck happened?
He tried to recall the latest events but just trying made his head hurt even more.
Aghh never mind that.
But then he remembered Taehyung, and he sat up abruptly even though it made his spine crack painfully.
He looked around before his gaze landed on a supine figure laying motionless on the tall grass.
Jimin forced himself to sit up and go to him on all fours, arms giving way just as he reached the unconscious boy's side.
"Nnnggh!" he moans in pain, cursing himself for being weak.
He shakes Taehyung's shoulder, but he doesn't move.
"Don't tell me you're freakin' dead already after a blast," he murmurs more to himself, ceasing all effort to just stare at his features.
Without opening his eyes Taehyung answers meekly "I've been through worse so don't worry your head." He takes a moment to breathe. "Though the concern is appreciated." He still had the energy to smirk!
Jimin slaps his shoulder weakly before resting his head on said shoulder.
"I-" he stops to try and form a coherent sentence. His head still aches. "What just happened? What time is it anyway?"
He can hear Taehyung's quiet breathing. He can feel the rumble of his hum.
"Judging by the clouds I'd say we've been unconscious for roughly two hours. I'm still tired as heck." And it shows by the rasp in his voice and the limpness of his whole body.
"Well we can't just stay here."
"I'm pretty sure it's safer to stay for a while before going out," Taehyung tells him.
"Huh? Why?" Jimin's confused. "Isn't it better to go now? Someone might find us here."
Taehyung chuckles.
"Which just goes to show that you don't know anything about being secretive."
Jimin pouts. "I still don't know you."
Ignoring the statement, Taehyung looks to the cloudless sky and speaks. "Being here is the last place they'll look, since I'm assuming everyone's thinking we didn't survive the blast."
Jimin's head cocks to the side in confusion.
"What do you mean? And how do you know all these things?" he adds in annoyance.
"I just do. Why do you have to ask so many useless questions?"
With a groan, Taehyung sits up and rubs his sore head, noticing little scratches on his arms.
And to think that the ones before this hadn't healed yet.
Aish... Hongja's gonna be so mad when he visits again.
Wait what?
He's coming back? No... Taehyung doesn't want to associate with him anymore. Anyone seen with him might be hurt because of his decision.
