Kim Taehyung, with his hair dyed a dark shiny black, stomps inside the flower shop and angrily does an eye scan before the hidden door reveals itself, the man stalking inside the endless corridor.
He ignores his fellow agents, one destination set in mind.
He throws the door open, stepping inside and slamming the door closed it made the hinges shake.
Agent Hope, in all his seated glory, merely looks up through his spectacles, nodding once to gesture that Taehyung can take a seat.
But Taehyung remains standing, and he vents out all his pent up frustration.
"Hyung why did you do that?"
Hoseok now sits up straighter, amused smile playing on his lips.
"Did what? Our boss was becoming frustrated with your puny limbs, so he called the others to try and get rid of the scum," he frowns, "Unfortunately you saved him, and that was the stupidest thing I ever saw an agent do," his voice getting louder, him standing from the chair.
The younger's gaze was steely hard, and Hoseok had to harden his eyes and purse his lips to show that he was displeased with what happened just hours ago.
"You are a disgrace to the agency, Agent V," spits out Hoseok with such venom.
But Taehyung doesn't care. He stopped caring ever since he crossed paths with his target.
"I don't care. I want out of this sick game," he retorts hardly, "I want to go back to my normal life."
Hoseok barks out a laugh, Taehyung looking on confusedly. What was so funny?
"Hilarious," said the older as he leans on the wall, "Might I remind you that you had no life when I found you. You were a street child, bleeding to death, and I gave you a chance at redemption. And this is how you repay my good deeds?" he roars back, Taehyung now feeling a twinge of fear from the man.
"I practically raised the awkward teen that you are, and you were one of the best here," Hoseok continues, Taehyung's mouth glued shut, "What the hell happened huh? You went from elite to zero in just a small amount of time, and you can't even kill properly anymore. You even went as far as to protect our target!" Hoseok's deep, disgusted gaze lands on the younger, him flinching and gulping involuntarily.
Taehyung licks his dry lips, not knowing what to say or do anymore.
What should he do?
What's the right thing to do?
"Get your head in the game, V," barks out Hoseok, fuming and going back to his seat.
Taehyung looked at him, trying to get his mind straight.
He was grateful to the man for saving him, even owed him his life.
But why couldn't he kill Jimin?
Was it because they were college friends?
Was it because he was special?
Why did it have to be him?
Out of all the filthy people in this planet, it had to be pure, innocent Park Jimin.
Taehyung sighs heavily.
Hoseok, being keen and alert, notices this.
He, too, sighs and decides to be softer to his friend.
He tries to smile, but Taehyung's not looking at him, too caught up in the mess that is his thoughts.
"Taehyung," he breathes, enough for said boy to look at him, "I know you hate being pressured but I know you can do this. Just one shot, eh? I'm sure you can-"
"No hyung."
He snaps once more, anger rising and face flushing.
"I can't just kill him because he's my friend."
Honestly, Hoseok's offended.
"And I'm not?" he tries. "Aren't we all friends in here? What's wrong with us, huh? We're the only ones who know each other inside out, and you dare say that your current target is your friend?! And we're not?"
Hoseok's teeth grit together.
"What's gotten into you? Why does this boy feel and look so special to you? His father didn't repay any debt and left that boy to deal with it alone.
His father was a criminal, dragging his own family down to the curb, and even left them to deal with all the mess he cooked up. And you want to save this boy?"
"I don't care hyung! And I'm sorry I can't do my job right but he was the only one who saw me for who I am, more than the secret agent I am today. And I can't kill him because, all his sins? It's from his craphead of a dad! And he doesn't deserve such cruelty! I-"
He didn't finish because Hoseok swiftly shot a dart at his neck, inducing sleepiness and making the younger fall to the floor, a porcelain tear clinging to his lashes.
Hoseok breathes heavily, having enough of Taehyung's passion for one day.
"Yah K come and drag V to his office please."
He feels guilty too for doing that, but a job is a job.
Hoseok can't do anything about it.
