"Of all the insolent-"

"I was just resting."

"-things you could do I had to-"

"I called since you were my last option."

"Kim Taehyung would you just listen to me??"

"I am listening."

"Well don't cut my sentences okay!"

Taehyung was sporting an ice pack on his swollen cheek, and his bare feet were propped up on the coffee table with a soft pillow.

Jimin was currently sleeping in the guest room of Namjoon's apartment, his minor injuries also treated.

Taehyung, being used to bloody missions, didn't need to sleep. He thrashed around when Namjoon cleaned him up though, since he wasn't used to being taken care of.

"What kind of environment did you grow up in anyway?" Namjoon asked as he set a cup of tea in front of the secret agent.

Taehyung just said what his mouth was made to say whenever personal life was mentioned.

"That's highly confidential."

Namjoon steeled him with a deadpanned look.

"No crap Sherlock."

Taehyung could tell he wasn't impressed with the answer so he cowered in his seat, brows pulled as his eyes stayed on the untouched liquid.

"I can't tell-"

"Oh I get it," Namjoon says. Taehyung looks at him. "Is this 'confidential'? Then why the heck do you even call me if you can't even trust me with anything but your name?"

Taehyung saw the hurt and confusion swirling in those orbs, much like how Jimin's did.

He bit his lip to try and stop the torrent of secrets burning his tongue.

"I'm a secret agent."

Namjoon's joined brows unfurrow slightly at the revelation.

"You're joking right?"

He shakes his head a solemn no.

"I specialize in quick kills and burying evidence, as well as having connections with important people," says the young boy with his face void of emotion, eyes on the tabletop.

He raises his eyes to the shocked expression of the other, smiling wryly at the plain fear displayed across.

"Y- you're gonna kill m- me?" stammers Namjoon, shakily pointing to himself.

Taehyung shakes his head.

"I trust you, and it's my fault for dragging you in this mess."

Namjoon's eyebrows again join, and he takes a cautious seat a few meters away from the dangerous man.

Taehyung likes that he knows to be on his guard, despite being a normal civilian who was dragged into the mess.

"That boy in your guest room?" Namjoon nods a bit. "I was assigned to dispose of him for the mistakes of his father, but he was a college friend of mine and I couldn't do it." He clenched his eyes shut, fist pounding

There's a brief tense silence.

"Let me guess," the regular boy says. "Emotion and attachment got in the way?"

The younger laughs humorlessly.

"Yeah," he sighs. "He was the only person who saw me for who I am, not just a secret agent that can kill and target." He looks at his sinful hands. "I'm more than that, I believe. And Jimin was the one who helped me realize that, even if he didn't know."
