"Jungkook- just what- yah!" Jimin sputters out with every shove the boy gives to his back.
And Jimin's getting annoyed being treated around like some lifeless ragdoll.
"Yah hajima!" he cries, finally having enough and rounding on his neighbor, who looked shocked at his outburst.
"Just what is up with you?" Jimin questions hotly, "You're acting really strange since that time in the bookstore."
His hard gaze softens.
"What's happening? Is work troubling you? Any new threats?"
Jungkook merely bites his lip, not knowing what to say and trying really hard not to spill anything.
"Yah Jeon Jungkook I'm talking to you." Great, now the tone was stern.
"We just have to go home hyung, it's already late," tries Jungkook.
He attempts to push the older again, but this time Jimin stands his ground.
"I'm not moving till you tell me what's going on."
Gosh he's stubborn when he wants to be. This is what Jungkook hates about his personality.
What should he tell him? Surely he can't reveal anything, else he'd be done for and this one chance that was given would be taken away like a flash.
"That time at the bar," Jimin starts instead, "How did you know my drink was poisoned?" His eyes were narrowed in suspicion.
Jungkook doesn't want to keep telling lies so this time he tells the truth. Hyung deserved at least his knowledge on poison.
"Tequila is usually colorless," he begins, "If you looked close enough you'd see that the bottom had a weird greenish color." He shrugged, "Simple as that."
"I'm sure it doesn't take a normal person to have such observation skills," says Jimin coolly, "They would have to be trained to spot such tiny details."
Is hyung going on about something?
"And you seem to be always around when trouble happens," the older continues.
Hmm... Jungkook really shouldn't have doubted Jimin's observation and deduction.
"I just got lucky I guess."
Jimin's brows crease, followed by a step back.
"Not you too," he whispers as if being lied to again, which seemed like the case once more.
Jungkook could only look on in confusion.
"You're lying to me," croaks Jimin, feeling hurt and betrayed.
The younger panicks. Oh no what does he do? He doesn't wanna see hyung cry because of his fib. What should he say?
"Hyung..." he utters.
But Jimin has had it.
"Do you think it's funny?!" he screams, lashing out and making the younger seem small, "Do you think it's okay to always lie to my face? Huh? Huh Jeon Jungkook?!"
Crap, he used his full name. That rarely happens, which goes to show that Jimin was more than just annoyed and hurt.
Jungkook licks his lips, not knowing what else to say or do to pacify the older's raging emotions.
Yet again his tongue is first before his mind.
"I have to protect you, do you understand that?!"
He had roughly clasped the smaller one's shoulders to put an emphasis.
Now Jimin's confused, and Jungkook just wants to bury himself underground.
"What the heck are you on about?"
Now Jungkook's confused too. What was he on about?
"Stop playing superhero with me Kookie maybe you're tired." He goes to take the other's hand, "Does your eomma know about all these? Rest up now."
Jungkook pouts. So Jimin doesn't believe him at all. He didn't know whether to be relieved or annoyed, but he figures it's best if he doesn't know anything.
Argh his boss is so gonna have his head.
"How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Hyung!" he whines.
