NOPI Chapter 40
Mirana's POV
"Hello? Are you still there?" pagkarinig namin dun kay Lucas ay agad kaming natauhan at agad na nagsalita
"A-ah, of course of course. I will brief you about what happened right away," sagot ko saka ako nagsimulang mag-explain in detail sa mga nangyari kanina
Mahigit na limang minuto ata akong nagsalita at dumating na kami sa dulo ng conversation.
"Okay, I understand. We're on our way" sabi ng kausap ko sa kabilang linya't binabaan na kami ng tawag kaya naman napatitig ako ulit kay Seph-- I mean Josephine.
This nerd.. why.. Why.. I mean how did she even think of disguising? What for?
Nagising ako sa pagde-daydream nang maramdaman ko ang kamay ni Caryl na hinawakan ang kamay kong hawak hawak pa ang phone kong nasa may tenga ko pa.
"Put it down already, will you? And stop panicking. We should be thankful that everything turned out well" sagot niya kaya naman nagmadali na akong ibaba ang kamay ko't phone saka tinignan ulit si Sephine
"If.. If only I stepped out sooner.. I could have at least help her.. But.. because of my weak heart, my illness, I didn't have the courage to step out and save her. I was panicking, I didn't even think of calling for security through the phone" bulong ko pero halata namang narinig niya dahil bumugtong hininga siya
"If you stepped out sooner, you'd probably be with her. You're weak and you don't even know a little bit of self-defense. Bodyguards are also aren't allowed here, so how could you even think of rescuing her back then?" tanong niya kaya naman it's my turn to sigh, deep and tired
"No one helped her. It's already so obvious that the others saw happened through the peeping holes on their doors. Just what is happening to this world?" tanong ko kaya naman napatango siya
"What do you think will happen to those bullies? This.. Seems too serious. Seeing Violet react like that.. Brr. So scary" sagot niya dahilan kung bakit ako nanaman ang tumango
"I know right? It's actually a good thing that we even thought of saving Sephine. I mean, sino bang magdududa na si Sephine pala ang nagiisang babaeng anak ng main branch ng pamilyang Falcon? Hindi kapani-paniwala" sagot ko pero sa puntong 'to ay hindi na siya sumagot pa kaya naman hindi na rin ako nagsalita pa
Hindi naman lumampas ng dalawampung minuto ay nakarating na ang kausap namin sa phone kanina.
Tahimik lang kaming tumayo sa gilid habang pinapanood ang mga pumasok sa dorm namin. This dorm room is actually a room good for 6 students so I'm actually proud to say that it isn't cramped. Buti nalang talaga at nag-leave 'yung apat dahil fourth years sila, may marketing research silang kailangang gawin at dahil magsu-survey sila ay nagsipuntahan sila sa iba't ibang mga locations sa banda.
"This is kind of.. Crazy, isn't it?" pabulong na tanong ni Caryl kaya naman napalunok na ako saka tumango
10 men in black in business suits, 5 doctors that are obviously from very famous and prestigious hospitals, 5 pretty nurses arrived.
The men in black brought fruits, vegetables and so much more. The nurses also brought so many clothes with them.. Ohmygod. All of those dresses are Sephin-- I mean Josephine's?! Limited edition clothes from different types of brands!
"I believe it. I believe it wholeheartedly now. She is a Falcon. A full blooded Falcon" bulong ko dahilan kung bakit natawa ng bahagya si Caryl
"Girls, please step outside the room while we tend to the Young mistress' wounds" sabi ni Lucas, ang lalaking kausap namin kanina sa kabilang linya kaya naman agad na kaming tumango at lumabas na

Sephine's POV
Minulat ko na ang mga mata ko sa katahimikan.
"Young mistress Josephine," pagkarinig ko palang sa boses ni Lucas ay agad na akong huminga ng malalim ng dahan dahan
"Thank you, Lucas" bulong ko dahilan kung bakit ko narinig ang tawa niya
"Anything for the young mistress of the Falcon Empire" sagot niya kaya naman ako na ang natawa
What a textbook answer.
"This room is?" tanong ko at umupo na galing sa pagkakahiga
"This room belongs to your dorm mates, Mirana and Caryl. Young madam Violet asked for their assistance. They saved you from the earlier plight" sagot niya kaya naman tumango na ako saka tinignan ang mga gamit ko sa katabing table ng kama
Natanggal na nila ang glasses ko't wig together with the headgear.
"Ah," agad niyang sabi na tila bang natataranta kaya naman tinawanan ko nalang siya't inilingan
"It's inevitable that they would be able to find out. It's okay, Lucas" sagot ko kaya naman tumango na siya
Tumayo na siya't tinawag ang mga doctors sa labas kaya naman hindi na ako umistorbo pa at hinayaan nalang silang gawin ang trabaho nila.
After ng ilang check ups and some reminders for a proper recuperation ay nagayos na sila ng mga gamit nila't naglinya na sa harapan ko.
"We'll be taking our leave now, young mistress. I've already told young madam Violet that you've awoken. She said she's on her way now," sabi ni Lucas kaya naman tumango na ako
"Thank you. Please take care on your way back," sagot ko kaya naman sila na ang tumango saka nag-bow at lumabas na
On cue nama'y pumasok sila Mirana at Caryl. Nakatayo lang sila sa harapan ko at nakatingin sa akin na tila bang hindi makapaniwala.
When I saw both astonishment and admiration in their eyes, I blinked. Ah, right. My disguise in off now.
"Sephi-- I mean Josephine, kamusta na?" tanong ni Mirana kaya naman natawa na ako
"It's still Sephine. It's my nickname" sagot ko kaya naman tumango na siya kaagad
"Sorry, we found out. Lucas was the one who told us," sagot naman ni Caryl dahilan kung bakit ako napailing
"It's his job. If you have not saved me, I would've probably gone more traumatized than I have been" sagot ko
Nang hindi sila nagsalita at nakatingin lang sa akin ay napangiti na ako.
"Ten years ago, I was kidnapped and was left all alone in an abandoned building in an isolated mountainous area in this same province. The incident wasn't given to the people because of one bitter reason: the kidnapper was a part of my very own family," pagkasabi ko non ay halatang nabigla sila
"Luckily, kids were playing in that area and happen to see me and in the process, saved me. But, I was already unconscious by then and well.. Half dead. After all, I was left all alone, without food to eat and without water to drink for a week. It was basically a prison, but without no prisoners other than myself" dagdag ko
"No news can be found relating to what happened due to the embarrassment of having a criminal on the same family. Because of the power the Falcon family holds, they were able to shut and hide every single information leading to what happened. So, the disguise is a protection I'm using to avoid getting in danger. So I hope.. that you could keep this a secret until I'm able to face my past"
