NOPI Chapter 63
Sephine's POV
"Sa first picture, kasama niya si Kuya John, Sephine's exclusive driver. Sa mga pictures naman na kasama ang mga princes at pati na rin si Kuya Joseph, marami naman tayo dun ah? Anong sinasabi nilang iba iba ang nilalandi araw araw? Tsk! Pinapakita lang talaga nila na ang taong marumi ang pagiisip lang ang nakakapagisip ng mga ganyang bagay!" - Venus
"At anong sinasabi nilang 'an unfashionable trash clearly vying for all the handsome guy's attention'? Hah, kung basura si Sephine, ano nalang sila? Sila ang basura, ang buong pamilya nila basura! Ah, hindi ko na kaya! I'm going to go to the forums to speak up for Sephine!" pagkasabi palang non ni Mandy ay magsisimula na sana silang maging princesses in shining armor ko pero agad ko na silang pinigilan
"It's fine. I'm fine." sagot ko dahilan kung bakit sabay sabay na nagsitaasan ang mga kilay nila't tumingin sa akin kaya naman nanginig ako
What the hell. They're so scary!
"W-what? Okay lang nga talaga ako! Okay lang ako! Unharmed, without cuts or bruises, inside and out!" sagot ko dahilan kung bakit napapalo nanaman si Mandy sa study table ko dahilan kung bakit nasira ang mukha ko
"Mandy naman! Maawa ka sa study table ko! Napaka-bayolente mo talaga!" angal ko pero hindi niya ako pinansin at nagsalita na
"What do you mean by it's fine?! How can it be fine? Sephine, matatanggap mo ba ang pinagsasabi nila sayo? Kahit na kaya mong itolerate 'yan, as your cousin, your family, I can't take it! I can't let other people blindly insult you like that!"
This time, ako na ang napapalo sa study table ko dahilan kung bakit sila nagulat.
Tumayo na ako't kalmang sumagot.
"Of course, I can't accept it. Tolerating it is a different thing. But just so you guys know, I'm also very angry"
Kumunot naman ang mga noo nila ng mapansin nilang parang wala lang sa akin ang nangyayari kaya naman natawa nalang ako.
"Galit ka na nan?" sabay sabay nilang tanong kaya naman natawa na ako pero agad ding tumango
"Yup, galit na ako nito. Pero kahit na galit ako ngayon, hindi naman ibig sabihin non ay maliitin natin ang mga sarili natin at patulan ang mga tao sa forums. Like what Mandy said earlier, they're blindly insulting me. So kahit na magsasalita tayo't magbigay ng explanation, there's no way they'll believe what we 're going to say. In a way, they are also victims this time. After all, none of them knew what really happened so we really can't blame them if they're tricked into believing the thread"
Nang tumahimik sila ay napangiti na ako't agad huminga ng malalim.
"At kung ipagtatanggol niyo ako, I feel like they will just attack me more aggressively and without reserve. So hindi na talaga natin kailangan magsayang ng oras at effort para lang sakanila" dagdag ko kaya naman wala na silang nagawa at nagsibugtong hininga nalang
"Then what are we supposed to do? Hahayaan nalang ba natin sila na insultuhin ka ng ganito?" tanong ni Mandy kaya naman kumunot ang noo ko
"Of course not!"
"Then do have a plan? The reason why we didn't do anything and went to inform you first was because we're sure that you wanted to deal with this yourself. So what are you going to do now?" tanong ni Venus kaya naman napailing na ako
"Kilala niyo ba kung sino gumawa nan?" tanong ko dahilan kung bakit nagsilabasan ang mga sungay nila sa inis kaya naman agad ko nang itinaas ang mga kamay ko to say that I surrender
"I was just joking, oka--"
"Darn, did you think that I'm a deity? By just pinching my fingers, I will know who did this?" inis na tanong ni Mandy kaya naman natawa nalang ako ulit
"Of course not. Violet, you're the Student Government President. Can't you check the IP address from the forum's username?" tanong ko kay Violet pero agad na siyang umiling
"I don't have the rights to do that. But I'm trying to contact the administrator to delete the thread first..." sabi niya kaya naman napataas na ang kilay ko't umupo na ulit
Obviously, someone is out to get me. Dahil libre ang forum at dahil lahat ng services dun ay pwede sa lahat ay posibleng magpost sila ulit ng thread kapag naidelete na. At sa tingin ko kahit na mai-report na ang account ng nag-post at nadelete ang account nito, wala paring tulong 'to sa akin. After all, kaya nilang gumawa ulit ng account.
*sigh
The internet really is a double-edged sword.
If it wasn't me in this situation, would they be able to take it all in?
"No need to delete the thread" kalma kong sabi kaya naman nabigla si Violet
"Pero kung hindi natin i-delete ang thread.."
"Okay lang, it's been more than ten hours already. Everyone's accustomed to using the internet, so I guess kalat na kalat na ang content ng thread ngayon. Hindi natin kayang kontrolin ang isang bagay, the mouth of others" sagot ko kaya naman tumango nalang siya
"May suspicion ka na ba? Sa tingin mo ba sila Annallie ang may pakana nito?" tanong niya kaya naman umiling na ako
"I've suspected it but I don't think it's her style to find behind the scenes. If it's Annallie's doing, she'd be so proud she'd even put her full name there" sagot ko kaya naman natawa si Violet saka tumango tango
"I think so too"
Tumahimik naman kami ng ilang segundo bago ako napa-bugtong hininga ulit
"Wala naman akong pake sa gustong sabihin ng ibang tao. Just leave them be, after all, I didn't really do anything. But if they don't know when to stop and create a huge fuss over it, I'll sue them for defamation no matter who that person is. I don't believe that anyone in this school has greater power than mine" sagot ko kaya naman napatingin sila sa akin na parang napaka-unbelievable kong tao
"I can't believe you just said that" sabi ni Mandy kaya naman napangisi na ako
"She's ruthless, don't you already know this?" tanong ni Venus kay Mandy dahilan kung bakit siya nagulat
"So.. by not deleting the thread, you're actually thinking of leaving behind evidence right?" tanong niya kaya naman tinaas at baba ko ang kilay ko
"Hmm.. Is this even called being ruthless? I'm actually giving them mercy. They should be glad I'm not using my tracking skills or else, all their dirty deeds should be out right now" sagot ko dahilan kung bakit nanlaki ang mga mata nilang napatingin sa akin
".........." - them
"Ah, I could do it though. Maybe outside of school. But.. Hmm.. It's illegal, right? I'll pass then. I should just deal with it cleanly and fairly,"
".........." - them
Nang hindi sila nagsalita ay tinignan ko na sila't tinaasan ng kilay.
"You think we believe you?" sabay sabay nilang tanong
"........." - me
Am I really that ruthless to you guys?
Well.. I guess just a bit.
