NOPI 57: Charles is Sick

NOPI Chapter 57

Sephine's POV

"Mandy, enough with the sweets. Hindi pa ba sumasakit ang mga ngipin mo niyan? Kagabi ka pa sa dorm ah" sabi ni Violet kay Mandy na kanina pang kumakain ng mga chocolates at candies dahilan kung bakit kumunot ang noo nito pero patuloy pa rin naman sa pagnguya ng chocolates. Haha

"Nope. Hindi sumasakit ang ngipin niya dahil sa mga 'yan. Muntanga nga 'yan kanina eh. Tawa ng tawa" sabi naman ni Ynna

"Err. Too sweets are bad for your health, Mandy. And it'll add up to your weight. You're already 2 kilograms heavier just two weeks ago, remember?" pagkasabi ko non ay agad na nabigla si Mandy at sa bigla niya ay nahulog ang chocolate na hawak hawak niya't patuloy pa rin siya sa pagtingin sa sakin

Looking at her dumbfounded expression, natigilan din ang iba naming mga pinsan saka nagkatinginan at on cue ay..

"HAHAHAHAHA!" dahilan kung bakit napatingin ang ibang mga estudyante sa amin

I giggled at their boldness. Where are the Falcon young mistresses? They're so not poised, prim and proper!

So saan kami tanong niyo? Nasa cafeteria kami ngayong umaga.

"Y-you geek, how did you know about all of that?" tanong ni Mandy kaya naman ngumisi na ako saka tinaas at baba ang mga kilay ko

"I have my own sources" sagot ko dahilan kung bakit siya napa-"Hmp. Hell to those sources then"

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Seriously, it's still so early, Mands. Are you stressed lately? Is this your very own version of stress eating?" tanong ni Icy kaya naman napa-"Hah" si Mandy't sumagot

"At least masaya ako sa piling ng pinakamamahal kong chocolates. Eh, kayo? Vegetarian na pala kayo ngayon? Eh, since when?"

Pagkatapos na pagkatapos niya palang magsalita ay sabay sabay na silang nagsitapunan ng crumpled tissue sa direksyon niya.

"We're not vegetarians, you insolent woman. Gusto lang namin i-try. You know, a little change can be good sometimes" pasimpleng sagot ni Icy kaya naman napa-irap si Mandy

"Not vegetarians daw. Just want to try daw. A little change could be good my face. Tsk. Kumain na nga lang kayo! Mga estorbo" sagot naman ni Mandy

Magsasalita na sana ako ng kakain nanaman si Mandy ng chocolate ng biglang may humawak sa balikat ko.

Pagkakita ko kay Ed ay agad siyang ngumiti.

"Hi, Seph. We don't have class for the rest of the day so can you please help me? I'm having a very hard crisis, and I believe that only you can be able to be of help" tuloy tuloy niyang sabi kaya naman nagtaka ako

"Eh? What is it?" tanong ko't agad naman naging exaggerated ang expression ng mukha niya

"It's about the demon lord having a visitor" sagot niya kaya naman mas naguluhan ako sa nangyayari

"Ah," pagkarinig ko naman sa naging reaksyon ni Venus ay ibinaling ko na ang tingin ko sakanya

"Go and help him. Now" sagot niya saka niya ako sapilitang pinatayo galing sa pagkakaupo saka tinulak papunta kay Ed

"Eh?"

Hah? What's happening? Who's the demon lord? Who's visiting who?

"I'll tell you everything on the way there" sabi ni Ed kaya naman hindi na ako umangal pa't agad na nagpaalam sa mga pinsan ko saka sumama kay Ed

Napanganga ako nang makita ko ang back view ng boys' Star Dormitory.

"W-what are we doing at the back? Are we going to use the emergency exit?" tanong ko saka ko hindi makapaniwalang tinignan si Ed na ngiting ngiti pa rin

"Contrary to the Girls' Dormitory, the Boys' Dormitory is also off limits for the girls. So we could only use this emergency exit stairs to avoid being seen" sagot niya saka siya nagsimulang umakyat sa hagdanan kaya naman wala na akong nagawa at sumunod nalang

Nang makaakyat na kami sa hagdan ay tumungo kami sa napakalaking pintuan.

"Can you wear this?" tanong niya kaya naman tinignan ko yung laman ng bag na inilahad niya sa akin

A jacket, a cap and a mouth and nose mask.

"A disguise?" tanong ko't agad naman siyang tumango

"There's a surveillance camera at the very edge of every halls, remember?" tanong niya kaya naman napa-"Ah" na ako't sumunod na

While wearing the disguise, I chuckled at a certain funny thought: A disguise on top of a disguise.

This is funny.

"What's funny, Seph?" ngiting tanong ni Ed pero umiling na ako kaagad

"It's nothing. I'm done" sagot ko kaya naman tinignan niya ako from top to bottom saka ako binigyan ng kanyang look of approval

"You pass. Good thing you're already wearing unisex rubber shoes and not-so-fitted jeans. Come, follow me" sabi't niya't tuluyan nang pumasok sa hallway kaya naman sumunod nanaman ako

We went straight to the staircases and reach the very top floor. But upon arriving, my brows were knitted.

There's only one door at the whole floor. Does this mean..

"We own the top floor and the roof. Lima kaming magbabarkada dito. We're roommates and no one could possibly separate us. Cool, huh?" smug na tanong ni Ed saka niya binuksan ang pinto saka ako pinapasok kaya naman bumugtong hininga nalang ako

Damn these rich kids.

Pagkapasok ko eh hindi na ako nagulat o na-amaze sa ganda ng interior designs. For some reason, I'm so sick of it all. Everything's so expensive here!

Naglakad naman siya papunta sa isang pinto kaya naman sumunod na ako habang tinatanggal 'yung kalo ko't face mask.

"This room is?" tanong ko

"Charles' room" pagkasabi niya palang non ay napanganga na ako sa gulat

"What?!"

"Ito ang sinasabi ko sayo kanina. I need your help regarding the demon lord having a visitor. Every time Charles catches a cold which is the visitor, he becomes someone unbelievable. He turns into a demon lord. What can ease the demon lord? Before, there was nothing that can soothe him and we'll just have to wait until he gets well and then returns back to normal. But now, you're here" tuloy tuloy niyang sabi pero isang bagay lang naman ang tumatak sa kokote ko

Charles is sick.

Is it because he stayed at the music room the whole night? For some reason.. It's connected to me again, right? Why do I feel so guilty about it?
