Ngayon ko lang napansin pero hazel brown pala ang ulay ng mga mata ni Charles. They're so dark and clear like the galaxy and it feels like they're staring at me like they're trying to pry me open. Like he was effortlessly trying to read my mind.
Napaiwas ako kaagad nang tingin nang umubo siya bigla at awkward na umiwas ng tingin.
"Uhh. Uhmm. So... what should we do now?" tanong niya kaya naman napatingin ako sa relo ko
"Anong oras ba magsisimula ang fireworks display?" tanong ko kaya naman napaisip siya
"Exactly 8 pm, I guess" sagot niya kaya naman napaisip ako
Tumingin ako sa direksyon ng Ferris Wheel.
"Charles?" tanong ko kaya naman napatingin siya sa akin
"Yeah?"
"Can you... ride the Ferris wheel with me?" tanong ko
"Sure. Should we go now?" tanong niya kaya naman tumango na ako
Tumayo na siya. Nagulat ako dahil inabot niya sa akin ang kamay niya.
"Well, uhh, in case you'd get lost again" sagot niya kaya naman napangiti nalang ako
Do I like Charles?
"Excuses," sagot ko kaya naman natawa siya at hinila na ang kamay ko at para bang prinsipeng tinulungan akong tumayo
I don't know and I'm not sure yet.
"Let's go," sagot niya kaya naman tumango na ako at nagsimula na kaming tumungo sa Ferris wheel
Thinking about how I'm about to ride the Ferris Wheel with him and in the heart shaped one to top it off, I didn't feel offended or the least bit disgusted at all.
This is the last day of our outing. I think.. I might want an answer for my questions now.
