Day out

Dave's POV

Senior year was wack man. So much happened, especially in my first week there. It's all crazy but I somehow managed to live through it. Me and Karkat are doing really well! It's stayed the same though, small kisses, a few makeouts, a bunch of cuddles. We have dancing nights, movie nights, nights where we just sit there and talk out our problems, and just nights of silents where we enjoy eachothers company. I'm not complaining much though, I do love those nights a lot.

Collage, dude, it's crazy man. I've lost so much sleep, just as soon as I was getting better with it. Coffee is my main go to right now same with energy drinks. "Davey! Breakfast is ready!"

"Coming Roxy!" I get up from bed and head to him down stairs. Everyone else is in their seats talking among themselves. "Morning Babe." I smile at Karkat as I sit down next to him.

"Morning, Dave."

"Hello, David" I turn my head next to me to find Kanaya.

"Hello, Kanya."

"How is college going going for all of you?" My head turns to Dirk who was getting another piece of toast. I groan and put my head down. "Shit?" I nod as the others groan.

"It's okay, I don't like the people though." I turn to Karks with a modified face.

"How?"

"Hm?"

"How can you possibly like college?"

"Maybe because I actually care about my future?"

"Yeah, okay, fair." I lift my head up and continue eating. The best part about living here is the morning and night conversations. We talk about random shit from our childhood or our day. It's more active at night since everyone is awake and on a bunch of caffeine. Today is Saturday which means a house day. We decided to just walk around a strip mall and goof around a bit.

"Alright everyone," Jake started, "let's all get dressed and get ready to head out!" We all nod and put out dishes in the sink and leftover food in the trash. We all run up to our rooms ignoring the elevator like usual. Me and Karkat's room are on the third floor with Rose and Kanaya's. Jane, Roxy, and Cali's, who recently moved in, is on the second floor along with Dirk and Jake. The first floor is our living quarters where we cook, eat, watch TV, game, and just fool around. Bathrooms are spread out about the place.

I enter my room Karkat following behind. We switch into out normal outfits, my red and white baseball tee with black skinny jeans with the chain, and my worn out red converse. Karkat throws on a light long sleeve black shirt with the cancer sign, black baggy jeans, and his black converse. We head out the room to see everyone has done the same. The girls threw on shorts or pants instead of skirts though. "We all ready?" My head snaps towards Calliope who had on a shoulder off black top and white shorts, her shoes were just plain white tennis shoes.

"Yeah! Let's go!" I grab Karkat's hand as we hop into my car Rose and Kanya in the back. The others get into Dirk's. We soon drive off blasting some My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Green Day, and other bands. We shared a bunch of laughs as we pull into a parking space. We get out and see the others get out not too far down from us.

"Hey! Where To First?"

"We could just walk around until we see something that catches our eyes?" I agreed with Jane. We soon started walking through the entrance. Karkat instantly grabbed for my hand, he was never a big fan of crowds. I don't think any of us do at that. First stop was a sweets shop. Jane and Jake wanted to stop in for some sweets on the way home. Next was a stuffed animal shop, Karkat and Roxy wanted to stop in. He ended up buying a stuffed rainbow crab and Roxy bought different animals. Then we went into a clothing store to buy random clothes, then to HotTopic in favor of everyone. I went into a record shop to pick up more vinyl. Lastly we all went to see a movie. We saw Rocky Horror Picture Show since they were doing old reruns.

We hopped into our cars around sundown to head home. I kept my car hood up. Kanaya and Rose talked quietly while Karkat fell asleep. I turned down the radio so it doesn't disturb anyone. About and hour and a half later we pull onto the driveway the others not to far behind. The others hopped out of the car as I carried Karkat in. I looked over at Dirk who was carrying a tired Roxy in. Rose took out her keys so everyone can go in. I don't think anyone played video games that night. We all went directly to our rooms.

I layed down Karkat softly and I took off his pants (Oh) and swapped them out for his sleeping shorts. (Hah) I took off my shirt and just changed into lounge pants. I layed down on out bed and put the covers over us. Almost instantly he clung to me. I pet his hair slowly falling asleep. I took off my shades and put them on the nightstand. I kissed Karkat's head and slowly dosed off to sleep.

Still Dave's pov

Waking up to an alarm clock is never fun. I groan as I reach over Karkat's still sleeping body and turn it off. I force myself out of bed and get ready. I slowly walk down the steps to find out I'm the only one up. I goran once again and turn on the TV to some gold ole Family Guy. Louis pops up on the screen in front of the piano. ~It seems today, that all you see is violence in movies and sex on TV~ the theme song continues to play out. Near the end on the theme song Dirk comes down to join me on the couch. The others came down later and joined me to watch the show. Jane got up and started to cook for the house. I hop up to help her. The rest of the morning was quiet. Everyone was tired from yesterday. "Heading to work!" I shout as I grab my keys. Karkat jumps up from the couch and runs over to me. I get tackled in a hug as he looks up at me. I look down at him and bend over to lay a soft kiss on his lips. "I will be home as soon as I can." He nods and lets go running back over to the couch hiding in a blanket. "Bye everyone!" They all say bye.

I walk to my car and head off to work. I now work at flower shop on the weekends. I work as a DJ on weekend nights and a job at a diner on the weekdays when me college session is done. I hop out of my car and walk through the door. "I'm here fuckers!" A few laugh and my manager shakes her head. She's used to my behavior by now and just accepts it as my normal routine. I put my hair back into a manbun and take out the "scary" piercings. By that I mean my lip and nose rings. I put them into a baggie then put on my badge.
