My eyes fluttered open the sunlight greeted me as I squint my eyes as well as rubbing them. I then proceeded to grab my phone from under the pillow to check the current time, 8:34 am it indicated. Then I noticed that it was Saturday as a smile crept onto my lips.

Finally a vacation

I slowly got up from my bed and out of my bedroom with a phone in hand. Nobody was at the kitchen but there was food left on the table looking quite untouched, without a second thought I already knew my mother prepared this for me. It was a strip of simple bacon and eggs on a ceramic plate as a fork rested near it, sitting down I finally ate my breakfast slowly. It was quiet until someone knocked on the door, I thought about who it might be as I walked to the door opening it.

"Good Mornin' Darling~"

I couldn't resist smiling as my best friend stood in front of me smiling, she smiled down at me since she was taller then giggled.

"Wow, you're up early. I expect you to be up later in the afternoon"

"Slept early last night since I was so bored and that's the only thing I could do"

I replied to her. Stepping aside I let her in the house as she closed the door following me to the kitchen where I was currently eating breakfast. She sighed and sat on one of the chairs and I then sat across from her.

"So what're plans for today?"

I questioned taking another bite of my eggs. She responded with a sigh and rested her hand on the palm of her hand thinking.

"I don't know. I'm so bored and couldn't get some sleep last night, my little brother and mom are somewhere leaving me behind with my two sisters and dad. I just felt like coming to your house that's all"

She reasoned at me eyeing my breakfast quite closely. I knew what she wanted and then laughed as I pushed my plate of food to her, she smiled widely in return and attacked the food like a hungry animal causing me to giggled at her. An idea entered my mind and smiling at how quite fine it was.

"Hey, are you totally free for today?"

I asked out of the blue. My best friend finally finished eating, standing up plate and fork in hand and went to the kitchen sink as she started washing it.

"Hmmm...maybe? Why?"

"I just thought of something great for tonight"

"Spill the tea sis"

"Let's have a slumber party"

She then finished washing the plate and fork and proceeded to place it back to its respectful places.

"You kidding?"

The look on her face was close to rejection as I shook my head and then smiling at the girl. She kept her eyebrows furrowed and eyes narrowing, I waited patiently as her with a small smile on my face.

"Of course [Name]! A slumber party would be awesome!"

She exclaimed finally smiling at me happily agreeing with my idea. I smiled with relief and stood up from my seat.

"It would be better if we invite Kristel over"

I smiled widely as she squealed with excitement. Sooner we were jumping up and down like crazy people and laughing.
