"Well, I'm waiting for an explanation." Mom said, giving no indication that she was leaving.

Areria looked over at me, wondering what to say. Looks like the loth-cat's out of the bag...I slumped my shoulders. "Very well, I'll tell you. But promise not to tell anyone, it's against the Jedi Code and I don't want-"

Mom immediately cut me off. "I know very well, Storm. I promise you I won't tell a single soul."

I let out a relieved sigh. "Thank you mom. I truly appreciate it."

"So what's truly going on between you and the Diktat?" Mom asked, rather intrigued.

"Two years ago, while Master Allie and I watched over Koltav on Corellia, Koltav and I fell in love with each other." I explained. "I tried to push him away, but failed. After we escaped the arena on Geonosis, we promised to keep our relationship a secret. But now it seems all we do is fight, and it always revolves around our relationship."

"Oh Storm, I'm sorry you're going through this. But fighting is something all couples go through. However your relationship is more complicated than others as you're a Jedi." Mom explained as she sat beside me. "And I'm not sure if all relationships like yours may last."

I know what she meant. I can't live like this for the rest of my life, especially if Koltav and I wished to get married. What would happen if we wanted to have children?

"But couples do argue. Your father and I had quite a few, like going after Alotren." Mom confessed.

She trailed off after that. Tears filled her silver eyes. I placed a hand over hers, trying to comfort her in silence. Areria and I remained silent until mom continued. "He didn't have to go by himself. I could've gone with him or I could've gathered some friends who would be happy to help, but you know your father. He's very stubborn, but he has a good heart."

"Speaking of dad, have you heard word from him?" I inquired.

At that moment, we heard a beep coming from my mom's pocket. She took it out to reveal her  holoprojector. After a few seconds, we saw a hologram of my dad. My eyes lit up. "Dad!"

Dad's eyes lit up as soon as he saw me. "Storm, it's so good to see you."

"You too, dad. I hadn't heard from you in such a long while that I feared the worst." I mentioned.

"I'm alright. Don't you worry, min sunvril." He assured me.

"Tâtsâ, ve'lo, please return to Corellia. Come back home." Mom insisted.

A pained expression then appeared on dad's face. "You know I'd love to, min larel....but I can't. Not until I find Alotren, our son."

"But surely we can do that together. You don't have to do this alone, pahro." I mentioned. "You have mom, Jinx, Maya, and me."

Dad hesitated. However before he could say anything, we saw a blast hit his arm, causing him to groan. My eyes widened in horror. "Dad!"

We watched as he fell back onto the ground. The hologram then faded. I looked over at mom, who kept her eyes on the holoprojector. I fought back tears that filled my eyes. I wanted to believe what I say was just a trick my mind was playing, but mom's face ruled that out. It was real...

"We have to go and get dressed. The feast will begin soon." Areria mentioned.

She wore a sympathetic smile. I know she didn't want to force us, but she was right. We have to go. I placed a hand on mom's shoulder. "Areria's right, mom. We all have to get ready."

Mom let out a long sigh, but nodded right after. "You're right. I must go."

"Allow me to escort you back to your room, Senator." Areria suggested.
