Chapter 72: Battle of Teyr

Later that night Anakin, Palpatine, and I were walking down a hallway inside the palace. Sirius and R3 remained by the side of my mother and my cousins for their protection. That entire day Anakin and I ignored Obi-Wan.

"We will leave as soon as Queen Neeyutnee's banquet is over. I also want to say goodbye to Senator Amidala. She has been a very gracious host." Palpatine mentioned.

Anakin furrowed his brows. "Hmm. Padmé didn't mention a banquet to me."

"I wasn't aware of a banquet either." I chimed in.

"Perhaps she meant it as a surprise. I must say, the lengths the Jedi will go to is nothing short of incredible." Palpatine commented, changing the subject. "I assume the brilliant plan to disguise Obi-Wan Kenobi was yours, Anakin."

Anakin's face fell. "No, it wasn't, sir. I was in the dark as much as you were."

"Really? Interesting..." Palpatine trailed off before glancing over at me. "And you Storm?"

"I was also in the dark, Chancellor." I confessed.

"That's quite peculiar. I was under the impression the Jedi always worked as a team." Palpatine commented.

My stomach churned at his words. That's what I thought as well, but I guess I was wrong. We then entered to see Dooku and Vorlega in the dining hall. They were sitting down at the table. Dooku wore a sinister grin as soon as he saw us. "Welcome!"

"It's so great to see you all again." Vorlega added with a malicious smirk on her face.

Palpatine's eyes widened. "My gracious, it's a trap!"

At once, Anakin and I moved in front of Palpatine. I glared at Dooku and Vorlega. For once could they leave us alone?

"Chancellor, stay back!" Anakin advised.

At that moment, two MagnaGuards with electrostaffs approached us. Anakin narrowed his eyes at Dooku. "You should've quit while you were still alive, Dooku!"

Dooku scoffed. "Fighting off the entire Jedi security force would have been difficult. But now that they are gone, defeating the both of you will be an easy task."

At once, Dooku and Vorlega rose from their seats. Anakin and I took out our lightsabers before igniting them. One of the MagnaGuards lunged towards me with its electrostaff in the air. I quickly struck, clashing my lightsaber against its electrostaff. I used all my strength, pushing the MagnaGuard back. As soon as it stumbled back, I swung my lightsaber, slicing its left arm.

The MagnaGuard retaliated raising its electrostaff towards me. I dodged its attack before charging towards it, slicing one of its legs. The MagnaGuard then collapsed onto the ground. I then raised my lightsaber before impaling the droid's chest. As soon as Anakin and I took down the two MagnaGuards, we looked back to see Palpatine still in the room.

"Chancellor, get out of here!" I urged.

Palpatine nodded. "Good idea."

Palpatine rushed towards the door, however he was stopped by a MagnaGuard, one that Anakin and I hadn't seen. The MagnaGuard immediately grabbed Palpatine, who "struggled" against the droid. "Unhand me!"

We then lunged towards Dooku and Vorlega. Anakin took on Dooku, while I took on Vorlega. Vorlega hopped onto the table, and I followed after her. Vorlega used the Force, lifting up the silverware before sending them my way. I immediately jumped out of the way, avoiding the silverware. Some of the silverware I couldn't dodged, so I used my lightsaber, protecting me from the utensils and plates.

"You're going to pay for what you did to Tol!" Vorlega warned me.

As soon as I reached Vorlega, she threw out a ball of Force lightning towards me. The lightning hit me at once. I felt immense pain throughout my entire body. I was thrown off the table and I collapsed onto the ground. I groaned as I slowly climbed back on my feet. Once I was up, I saw Jinx and Maya rush into the dining hall.
