(ENG) Chapter Nine

Arthit lying between Kong and Toey, on the mattress without tent and just covered their body using blanket and bag as pillow.

When midnight, Arthit suddenly notices some movement in the cave around them, he shortly open his eyes and saw someone wearing a masker, holding a knife and was launching an attack toward Kong who is sleeping soundly beside him.

So Arthit immediately grab the blanket and throw it at the killer before the knife get to Kong, at the same time he also grab Kong's arm, hold his waist and pulled the guy body toward his side to dodge the attack.

Kong was surprised by it, as well as Toey.

Toey get up at once, while Kong position was on top of Arthit and was stunned.

The murder managed to get out from blanket and again launch an attack toward them, however his movement looks so clumsy.

Looking at that, Arthit immediately pushed Kong's body toward Toey as he returned the attack by kicking the bad guy's hand strongly to make him dropped the knife.

After that he jump up and race to pick up the knife before the enemy and pointed it at the bad guy.

Once realized his position was disadvantage, the murder took out the colt and aim it at Arthit to defend himself.

Arthit froze at once staring at the colt for a moment and looked surprised. Looking at that, Kong quickly get up and jumped in front of Arthit to protect him.

"No, no, don't shoot!" Kong raise both of his hand to signal of surrender. "Please, take whatever you want, but don't hurt us!" he begged.

Toey furrowed his eyebrows while looking at the enemy in suspicious.

"Who are you?" he asked in curious. "Why did you attack us? What do you want?"

The enemy pointed the colt at three of them alternately, before glance at Kong's bag that he dropped on the ground and without wasting time, he quickly pick it up and ran away toward the dark tunnel.

Arthit about to chase him, but Kong shortly grab his hand to stop him.

"Don't be stupid, he has a gun!" shout Kong.

"What is gun?" Arthit furrowed his eyebrows in confused.

"The weapon in his hand, that thing more powerful than any weapon you had ever known in your time, and it can kill you in instant."

"I know." Replied Arthit short.

It is Kong's turns who furrows his eyebrow and turned his face to exchange a glance with Toey for a second then return to Arthit.

"I had seen it before..." add Arthit as if noticed a suspicious look on Kong's face.

"Where?"

Arthit divert his eyes and was thinking of something. "In the TV..."

Kong rolled his eyes in disbelief. "Well, TV is the best learning tools..." comment Kong. "You should watch TV more ..."

"Wait a minute, so where do you live before this?" asked Toey to Arthit as he feel suspicious heard Kong tell Arthit about how dangerous the gun is.

"What do you mean by a weapon he had ever known in his time?" he turned to Kong.

Kong gasped at once as realized that his tongue slipped.

"Well, that's..."

"Don't try to fool me!" cut Toey. "Or I'm gonna investigate it myself..."

Kong let out a sighed and think long enough before finally decided to tell him the truth about what happened and who is Arthit.
