3rd Pov:

Strangely enough, the whole day was pretty calm and normal, for the most part. There weren't any Trent encounters or nightmare rooms, well Penny didn't feel like speaking to the others about this and she suspected Brody would freak out so she trusted Kelsey to deal with this in the best way possible, it was a fine day.

After school, however, as soon as the kids got out, Kelsey pointed out Carter wasn't with them, which wasn't always a bad thing. They guessed he was in the bathroom or something and didn't want to wait around after him, so they went towards their homes. They didn't get too far ahead before Kelsey heard a familiar yell.

"HEY YOU GUYS WAIT UP!" Carter rushed over to them, bending down and grasping his knees in exhaustion, panting loudly while taking his hat off his head, trying to cool down "Thanks for waiting for me."

"You're welcome." Gray replied nonchalantly and Carter fumed.

"I found out something today from my dad." Carter seemed smug and proud, as well as confident about his newly discovered facts.

"Oh please Cartman, tell us all about it." Katy answered in a very unexcited voice that could basically hint to anyone she would rather be stuck in an erupting volcano than listen to him.

"He told me." He was still struggling to  inhale and exhale  so he took a few  moments catch his breath before continuing  "That you're all adopted."

The others stared at him in confusion. Kelsey furrowed her brows and glared at him in astonishment "Wait, you didn't know? Seriously?"

His confidence and pride left him altogether and he looked puzzled "Wait what?"

"Dude." Tyler mumbled, barely audible "Do you know what the reproductive system is?"

Carter thought for a bit, searching for the answer in his mind and when he didn't find it, he got defensive "What does that have to do with this?"

"When a man and a woman love each other very much." Katy begun and there were several giggles behind her after the first sentence. She turned to them and muttered a quick 'Grow up.' Before facing Carter again "They can have a baby right?"

Cartman took a bit to process this but nodded after confirming it in his head. Katy kept going "But only a man and a woman can do that. Two men or two women can't make a baby by themselves. Unless magic is involved."

Dumbfounded, Carter gazed at them completely wide eyed "So you've known all this time?"

His reply was a bunch of nodding heads from everyone "And you're not mad?"

"Why would we be mad?" Gray had taken a step forward but never changed his expression which was merely blank and only steadied his hat on the top of his head.

"Your parents kept this away from you, you never got to meet your real parents." Carter persisted and Brody rolled his eyes.

"They didn't keep it a secret." He confessed "They told us this, once and once only because they get umcomfortable when they talk about our biological parents."

"You don't want to meet them though?"

Kelsey finally spoke up and scrunched up her nose as she did so "Listen to me dumbass, our 'real' parents decided to put us up for adoption and had taken that decision before we were even born , I wouldn't want to meet them if it was the last thing I'd do." Kelsey spat and added "Besides, dad told us they are severe alcoholics and maybe drug users. They have a criminal record. That's enough for me to stay away from them."

"Wow." Carter mouthed "So you're actual parents were alcoholics."

"Yeah."

"You know,alcoholism is genetic."
