Jason's P.O.V
I dropped Vanessa back to her house and returned.
"Bro that girl is a keeper." says Ryan.
I smile.
"I just felt something towards her when I saw her on the street that day. But never knew it would go this far." I smile once more as I go towards the basement. I was then greeted by Alex.
"Great that your here Jason. I wanted to tell you something super important."
"What is it Alex? Is it about Vanessa?" I quickly ask, worried.
"It's not exactly about her but something related."
Oh.
"It's something you have to know. Something that I've hid from you for a long time. It's time you know it now."
My breath hitches as my chest starts rising up and down.
"O-Okay, what is it?"
" I'm just gonna make it straight to the point. Vanessa's mom .... Was killed. ."
"How? " I growled.
"When did this happened?" I grew impatient.
" I um uh" Alex stuttered.
"When she was 15"
" WHAT!? AND YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE NERVES TO TELL ME?! HOW COULD YOU ALEX?! How-w could you-u?" I quickly went from angry to extremely sad.
Vanessa's mom was like a 2nd mom to me.
"You know what's worse Jason? She was killed, right in front of my eyes."
I quickly looked up, my eyes wide.
"And Vanessa was also in the same house,when it all happened."
I looked at him in disbelief.
" No no, I don't mean what you think, if it wasn't for me, Vanessa would be dead." Alex says and I'm in shock.

but there might be one thing you may be confused about. At the starting of this chapter when Ryan says Vanessa is a keeper, Jason replies as
"I just felt something towards her when I saw her on the street that day. But never knew it would go this far."
I know you might be thinking that
' wait in the start of the story, They met in the university halls. How is it in the street? ' but the truth is Vanessa still has the memory loss. But infact, They ACTUALLY met in the streets but why will be answered in the coming chapters.
