Chapter 13 : A heartwarming night

Earlier today Shubman texted me to be ready by 6 and currently it was 5:58 but I was still confused about my clothes. I didn't knew where we were going. Soon the bell rang and I heard my mom calling me downstairs saying that it's him.

The door of my room opened. "Are you still not ready?" he asked.

I shrugged saying,"I don't know where we're going so..."

Before I could complete my sentence he walked towards me and gently pushed me aside, taking my place in front of my closet and choosing my clothes. Unlike me he chose it in few seconds and walked out so that I can change. After I was done changing, I went downstairs and we left.

After driving for around 20 minutes we reached an amusement park. Time for one of my favorite wish I guess. I got out of the car excitedly and hopped towards Shubman. I started pulling him inside to hurry and this caused him to laugh.

I really love his laugh.

We went to buy the tickets and when the guy on the counter recognized him, unlike other times with me, he actually greeted his fan nicely. He spoke with a smile all the time. This made me question about who the 'real' Shubman is. This sweet and smiley one or the angry and cold one?

"Don't you wanna ride your favorite ferris wheel?" Shubman said bringing my attention back. I nodded and we went to stand in the que.

Soon our turn came and we got on. When we reached the top they stopped the ferris wheel for a minute. From the top we could see the whole park, lights and people everywhere. It was cold but I had a warm company. I realized soon that all this while Shubman was only looking at me. I felt my cheeks burn from his intense gaze.

It was getting dark and the sun was setting. Shubman's face was glowing making me stare back and only after the ride got over I realized that we were just looking at each other rather than watching the scenery. After we got off I thought that things would get awkward now but instead he interlocked our hands and started pulling me to different rides.

We rode several rides and ate candy floss. However after every ride I was feeling myself a little difficult to breathe. I didn't tell him because for the first time I saw him enjoying small things in life, and I didn't wanna take this happiness away from him.

I didn't knew that amusement park could also be so much fun. I would completely thank Aarohi for this day, otherwise I would never come here on my own. We were enjoying all the rides along with teasing each other.

After the last ride Aarohi suddenly hugged me and started breathing at a rapid rate. I panicked and hugged her back soon.

"Calm me down please" was all she said. I loosened my hug on her waist but kept a firm grip assuring her about my presence. I stroked her hair and then carried her on my back to a nearby bench. Making her sit there I quickly brought some water for her and made her drink it.

I kneeled down in front of her and looked at her face closely. She looked tired despite of showing all the excitement. I cupped her face in my palms and asked,"Are you okay Aarohi? You want me to hold you more?" She just shook her head and said that she was fine now.

Soon her breathing became normal and we left. I decided to take her straight home after seeing her condition but she insisted to take her somewhere else. I already had a plan of bringing her to watch the fireworks but had it canceled after this, but now after her request I took her there.

By now it was completely dark and we had reached a little high elevated place so that she can watch those more closely and clearly. We were sitting on a mat having not much distance between us. I continuously focused on just one thing, her breathing rate. It was normal until now but earlier she really made me worried sick.

Her eyes sparkled when the fireworks started. A huge smile was placed on her lips. Out of nowhere I said,"Everytime I see you, my heart smiles!" Instantly she looked at me and caught me staring at her.

"What?" she asked still keeping that heartwarming smile on her lips.

I gulped nervously and replied while fake laughing a little,"That's the pickup line for tonight. Remember our deal? You complete your wishes with me and I give you a pickup line?"

She gave her attention back to the sky and said,"Of course I remember. Who can forget such a weird deal!"

Soon the fireworks ended and she lied down pulling me beside her. She yawned and said,"Let's sleep here, I'm tired." I denied and suggested her to sleep in the car atleast but she was too determined to sleep there itself.

I lied beside her safely keeping some distance between us, in case she doesn't like the idea but after few minutes when I thought that she was asleep she asked,"Would you hold me?" I looked at her and said,"Sure."

I opened my arms and she scooted closer to me. Placing her hand on my chest, she buried her face on my neck. I shivered a little at the sudden skin contact but hold her closely and gently by her waist.

"Aarohi?" I called her in a low voice.

In a sleepy tone she hummed and I said genuinely,"I had lots of fun today, thankyou!"

She didn't reply anything making me think that she completely fell asleep but then she mumbled,"You smell so good" and came more close to me and I tightened my hold on her a little, having a small smile on my face.

Sleeping beside girls wasn't new for me but sleeping beside Aarohi and want to just hold her was definitely new to me. Soon I fell asleep too not removing my hands from her tiny waist.
