"C'mon Cole, let me put a bullet in its head," I heard Stephen whine as he and Cole walked in with an Elite between them.
"C'mon dude, that weapon is still hot," Stephen complained, "Let me put an end to it for god's-sake."
Cole only grunted, as he dropped the shoulder that he had been carrying. Stephen followed suit, before aiming his Railgun at the Elite's head. I shoot up instantly, and rolled to my feet.
I noticed the arm of the strange, yet beautiful and familiar, woman try to pull me back, but I simply shook it off, as I then stood up straight, and took to strides to where the alien was laying.
"We need to find a way of killing this thing," Price stated matter-of-factly, "So that we don't waste any more of our ammo."
"Agreed," I muttered in reply.
"Stephen, I need you to go take look out position on the roof," Price ordered, "Take one of the Marines with you. Cole, get Dingo to record this dissection; the whole thing."
Cole nodded in reply. I could feel Price's eyes resting on me, and I knew what she was thinking.
"I'll be fine," I assured her, "I've seen zombies for goodness sake, so dissecting an alien won't do me any harm."
"Right," Price said, before turning to Doc, "We need your help here. I know that you specialise in putting humans back together, but at the moment, you're the closest thing we have as an expert."
Doc nodded, before kneeling down beside me. He pulls out hunting knife, and uses it to leverage open the insect's skull.
'Talk about unnecessary torture,' I thought to myself, 'Let's just get this over and done with.'

I jogged down the hallway, heading towards where I had last seen a bunch of two-five platoon members. When I got there, I glanced around, before shouting out, "Yo, Adrian, Lewis wants us up on the roof stat. so grab your gear and follow me."
I only watched long enough to know that Adrian was going to follow me, before I turned around and started to jog towards a stairwell that I had spotted on the way towards two-five platoon's little gathering.
When I got on the roof, I used my Railgun's telescope to do a quick sweep of the surrounding buildings. I then hunkered down on the edge of the roof, and kept half an eye of the runaways, while I watched the main roads leading into the airport.
"What do you think?" Adrian asked, "How are we getting outta here, let alone getting the civvies out?"
"That doesn't matter Marine," I replied, "Just make sure that enemy doesn't sneak up on us."

We had been on the roof of the Airport for maybe five minutes, maybe even ten minutes, I couldn't remember, when I spotted the aliens on a roof across from us.
"Shit, I got hostiles," I spat.
"Where?" was the Super-Soldier's reply.
"About hundred metres out, two o'clock," I told him.
"I got 'em," Stephen stated, before going onto his com.
I didn't hear what Stephen told his superior, and I didn't think that I needed or wanted to. I kept my eye on the aliens that were scuttling around on the roof of the building that I pointed out.
"Lewis wants us to stay up here," Stephen finally said out loud, "We'll need to make sure that they don't get any closer.
