I could hear the music resounding throughout the massive hanger, as the whole force gathered together to celebrate the end of the training. I could see that everyone was having fun as well.
‘That’s good, isn’t it?’ I asked Dragono, who I had reconnected my soul with.
‘You have given them the one thing that they need right now,’ was the dragon’s reply, ‘be grateful that they are willing to celebrate now, before they go to war for the first time.’
‘A first for some of the younger people,’ I said sadly, ‘others have already seen to torments of war.’
‘Life has a beauty to it, doesn’t it?’ Dragono asked cautiously, ‘One that can’t be taken from someone like you or Maria?’
I was shocked; what was it that Dragono knew that I didn’t? It had something to do with the fact that I was here now. Add that to everyone looking at me in awe and amazement every time I walk into a room.
Everyone I knew – or thought I knew – were treating me differently. Some days I actually felt like an echo of the person I reminded people of; I shared the same looks, voice and basic memories as this person that they talked of, and yet he had powers and abilities that went far beyond what I had.
‘You are the same person as the one we describe,’ Maria said, ‘But you must remember that people will treat you differently because of where you have come from.’
‘You mean I shouldn’t exist?’ I asked; worry colouring my thoughts, ‘That everything that I have done wasn’t supposed to have happened?’
‘Blaze Sigma Darkrunner!’ Dragono roared into my mind, ‘You should not think such thoughts; you are so much more than what you are at the moment. You must have patience; time shall restore what was once yours.’
‘And what does that mean?’ I spat out the question, already growing distressed at what they were telling me.
‘Blaze, you must remain focus on the task at hand,’ Maria said calmly, ‘In time you will grow aware of who were once upon a time; until then, you must concentrate on being yourself…’
‘How can I do that,’ I retorted, ‘When I am an echo of the man I once was?’
With that I shut my mind to everyone and anything, forcing a wall up between me, Dragono and Ginny. I then marched out of the hanger, intending to go rest in my quarters.

I was leaning against one of the hundreds of supports that were scattered around the hanger; talking with Price as everyone else celebrated the end of training. I wasn’t in the mood though.
“Hey, Anna; you still here?” Price asked, “You’ve started drifting off there again.”
“Sorry; I’ve just got a lot on my mind,” I replied quietly.
“Right, Josh and Elyse,” Price stated, “To be honest, I think you’re better without him.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” I demanded, “he saved me from Cre^dus, if I remember correctly, while Blaze did nothing to even help.”
‘That’s right, he didn’t help save you,’ a strange said in my voice, ‘and Josh dumped you for another woman; one that helped kill Blaze.’
“Thanks for agreeing with me Price,” I sighed, “At least someone know what I am talking about.”
“But I didn’t say anything,” Price stared at me, “Anna, you don’t look too good.”
