“Swing to your right, not your left,” I barked at Blaze, “If I say left, you swing to the left. Do you understand?!”
Blaze nodded, before smirking.
“What’s so funny, Elf-body,” I snarled.
“I just realised that you remind me of somebody,” was the smart-ass reply.
I slammed my clenched fist into Blaze’s gut. The youngish Angel grunted, before swinging the energy sword that had been given to him to train with. I activated my own energy sword, smiling as Blaze’s smirk turned into a frown of frustration.
Then it turned to one of pain, a sign that everyone had learned had something to do with his memory spikes. I deactivated my energy sword, and was approaching Blaze, when he leapt forwards, his energy sword almost impaling me.
“What the hell?” I grunted, as I brought my knee into Blaze’s gut.
As Blaze fell to the ground as he suddenly relaxed. I placed my hand against his arm, and groaned. His skin was deathly cold, and his skin had turned to a deathly pale.
“Get a medical team in here stat,” I barked at Price, “Don’t tell Maria or Anna though.”
“I’m on it sir,” was the human’s reply.
This was the third time that Blaze had done this, and we still hadn’t found a reason for it. Pulling the energy sword away from Blaze, I stood up. I then looked around all of the ECs that were standing around me.
“What the hell are you all staring at?!” I demanded, “Get back to training. You should know what to do.”
I sighed, as I saw Anna and Maria trailing Price, as the human walked towards the training ground slowly, cautiously, shamefully. When Anna and Maria were standing in front of me, I was about to speak, when I felt a hand against my cheek.
“Damn it,” I grunted, “What the hell Anna?”
“What the hell did you do this time?” was the reply.
“I had the Elite Commandoes going over skills that I had already taught them, and I saw Blaze do the opposite to what I was telling everyone to do,” I explained, “When I confronted him, he started talking back.”
“Then why is my brother laying on the ground looking like he’s dead,” Maria demanded, “And don’t tell me you didn’t do anything, because I know that is a lie.”
“I didn’t do anything, honestly,” I said, “He had a memory spike, and then he attacked me. So I defended myself, and he just kneeled over.”
“How did you defend yourself?” Anna asked.
“I kneed him in the gut,” I said.
I have never felt fear on a large scale in my life, but the death glare that Anna was giving me had me trying to make myself as small and unnoticeable as possible. It probably didn’t help that she was also wrapping her hands around the hilts of her swords.
“How many times does that make it now?” Maria asked.
“Three, I think, unless he hasn’t been telling us about ones that he has had when we aren’t around,” I answered, starting to feel really scared know, as Anna was now starting to turn away from me.
That was always a bad sign. Just as I was about to bring my energy sword up in defence, when I felt arms wrap themselves around me from behind. I felt a lump form in my throat, as I then fell to the ground with whoever it was that was holding me.
