Twitter was going crazy, the fans were divided in the middle, half of them were astonished by Louis and that photo the other half were convinced that it was a misunderstanding, and surprisingly none of them were mentioning my little fling with Harry. I quickly logged onto my mentions and noticed all the support I was being sent.

‘Poor @JayWiltonTommo I hope the photo is a fake!’

‘NAUGHTY LOUIS! Jay deserves better! @JayWiltonTommo’

‘How could he do that to her? @JayWiltonTommo #JayTomlinsonSupporter’

I couldn’t read the rest, they were probably all nonsense anyway. All I could think about was going home to fix this stupid mess, I couldn’t stand all the pity and the ignorance I needed to know the facts for myself. Penny was not going to let me go home and ruin our girls day out so I had to bear it for another few hours at least.

Later that afternoon, when I walked back into the house Louis was sitting at the door with a saddened look on his face. I sat down beside him on the porch steps and sighed.

“Who was she?” I asked casually, I wasn’t angry I just wanted to know. He turned to face me with tears in his tired eyes, how hadn’t I noticed them this morning? He probably had trouble sleeping the night before but somehow I had missed it.

“Her name’s Marie.” He started slowly I couldn’t look at him as I hadn’t expected him to answer me at all.

“Marie?” I asked in disbelief.

“Jay, you have to believe me. Nothing is going on between us, I hadn’t seen her since I lived in Doncaster she got a bit too friendly that’s all. It was just my luck that the photographer just so happened to be there at the same time.” I knew he was serious, I knew that he wouldn’t lie to me about it.

“That’s all I needed to hear.” I told him and kissed him on the forehead. He smiled shyly and followed me inside the house. I couldn’t help but notice Harry was still around and I had no clue as to why. Did he still like me or something?
