The Birthday part 2

I watched Harry's uncomfortable face as he wrapped his arm around his new girlfriend and stared warily at his old one. I felt sorry for him really, although Lila was one of my best friends and I loved having her here I couldn't even imagine what he would be feeling right now.

"Food anyone?" Lou asked and we all made our way into the party room. The room was decorated with every little kid dream, presents were everywhere, balloons and streamers were all over the room and the boys absolutely loved it.

"I haven't been following you lately in the headlines Lila what have you been doing with yourself?" Zayn asked her politely. As far as I can remember I hadn't seen the two of them interact like this many times before.

"Oh you know, just trying to make a living." She smiled and watched all of our faces. "I have a movie coming out soon. "

"That's great Lila!" I was impressed

"Yeah I'm happy with it" she grinned and took a sip from her cup. We'd all made our way to a more comfortable arrangement, sitting on sofas all seated with our lovers all except for Lila who was sitting with Connor still.

Rebecca didn't seem to mind that her new boyfriend kept looking across the room to his ex, either that or she hadn't noticed. She was too busy playing with Nick most likely.

"Do they talk yet?" Lila asked pointing down at Connor who was seated on her lap. I shook my head, I wished they would say something so Lou and I could stop this competition for the first word.

"Not yet, hopefully soon." Lou answered for me "I think they're going to say daddy first." He added and everybody laughed.

"No way everybody knows that Mama is nearly always the first thing they say." Penny backed me up, probably because she hoped that Lola would say mama first as well.

"As if! My sons know better than that!" Lou huffed.

"Mom, mom, mom." Lila said to Connor who was staring up at her. "Who's that?"" she pointed over to me,. He pointed with her but didn't say a thing.

"Who's that?" Penny asked again pointing in my direction.

"Connor who's that?" Harry joined in pointing over at me. I thought for sure he'd be on Louis' side but he wasn't.

"Awwey" Connor said and we all fell silent.

"Who?" I asked him and he started to giggle.

"Awwey!" he said again.

"Harry?" I asked him and he smiled.

"Harry!" Harry yelled with excitement. "Did he just say my name?" he laughed and Louis' mouth fell open.

"We still have Nick babe don't worry." I tried to reassure him but I had to admit, Connor saying Harry was pretty funny.

"Hi-five" Zayn said to Connor and held his hand out in front of him, he didn't understand what his uncle Zayn was trying to do so instead he started laughing.

"You're a clever boy aren't you?" I asked him with a baby voice. Lou hated it whenever I did that but I just couldn't help myself he was my baby and always would be. They both were.
