“How was work?” Louis asked me when I walked into the house the following morning. There was no shoot today so all I did was meet the crew and ran a few lines with a few of the other cast members. It was simple stuff really.
“It was great.” I kissed him on the cheek. He took my hand and led me towards the media room. We didn’t go inside, he wanted us to listen in to whoever was in there.
I leaned in trying to listen to whatever it was that had been going on.
“No, don’t listen in. They want you in there” Louis chuckled. I walked into the room where Lila and Harry were seated awaiting for me to come in. I had no idea what this was about so I sat down and waited for them to fill me in.
“Jay” Harry said quietly, he didn’t look quite himself in fact he looked extremely pale, and his eyes had a scared look about them.
“What’s going on?” I asked, I hadn’t noticed earlier but Lila was in tears.
“Lila has something to say.” He told me, still looking rather ill.
“I-I-I can’t” she spluttered and Harry shook his head in disbelief.
“What’s going on?” I asked again and stared at one after the other. I was so confused. What had happened?
“Jay” Lila wailed but neither of us comforted her.
“Harry, are you alright?” I asked him, he didn’t answer instead he glared over at his ex the way he’d done so the day before.
“Lila did something.” He finally managed to say.
“What does this have to do with me?” Surely I had nothing to do with their lovers tiffs.
“I’m sorry.” Lila tried to say to him but he wasn’t going to let whatever it was go.
“Lila just tell her!” he exclaimed. I could hear the pain in his voice.
“Tell me what?” I asked still confused.
“At your wedding, when she was pregnant.” Harry started and I still didn’t get it. Lila wasn’t pregnant.
“She lied”
“No she didn’t Harry! She told us she wasn’t pregnant remember?”
“No Jay she was pregnant” he explained.
“What do you mean?” I asked and looked at Lila who was still in tears. Harry was obviously angry about something.
“I had an abortion.” Lila piped up and my heart sank completely.
