"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart." -Helen Keller

Ana's POV

"Ana?" He asks, confusion lacing his voice.

"Hi," I stutter.

Niall is standing before me in a pair of denim jeans and a plain white T-shirt along with a red plaid shirt. His hair is not gelled as usual but I like it. His lips are curved in a frown, probably thinking what I'm doing here. "What are you doing here?" He asks after a few seconds of silence, even though it felt like hours.

"I-I-You're going to Birmingham?" I bite the inside of my cheeks as I ask. I ran into Liam last night when I went to the supermarket to buy some essentials. I came to know about it from him and it did hurt me to know that a stupid fight could really damage what we have.

"Yes, I am," He mutters and walks inside the house. I just stare at him and awkwardly stand at the door for a few seconds before following him inside. I walk into his room when I hear water running in the bathroom and decide to stay there until he comes out.

I see his unzipped suitcase lying on the bed and I trace its surface with my fingertips. He's really going and he didn't even bother telling me. It hurts knowing that his ego is much bigger than what our relationship holds.

I stare at the bag until a brown book on the top catches my eye. I eye it curiously and stretch my hands to take it. It looks like a diary. I outline the top of it and contemplate whether or not I should read it.

Curiosity gets the best of me and I flip through the pages. I run my right hand on the page and furrow my eyebrows when I see the words written in verses along with different song notes right below the line, like a song. My eyes catch the title at the top of the page.

'Fire Away'

"What are you doing?" Niall calls from behind me, I flinch and the diary stumbles out of my hands.

"I was just looking at it." I try to justify my actions. He walks towards me and I freeze in place. He stills in front of me and I almost expect him to kiss me but he doesn't. He leans down and pick up the diary from the floor, stuffs it in his suitcase and zips it without muttering a word.

"Were you going to tell me?" I whisper.

"Yes," He replies, walks out of the room and I follow him out like a lost puppy.

"Why are you ignoring me?" I cry. "Why are you behaving like this?"

"What do you expect? Huh?" He throws his arms up and turns to look at me.

"Aiden is just a friend and he'll never be more than that."

"He clearly wants you and it's not like you don't know that." He spits.

"Aiden already apologised for what he did and I made it clear that I only like you!" I say just as loud, pointing my index at him.

"I don't want you near that prick is all. I do not care how sorry he feels." He sighs.

"Do you not trust me?" I ask, a little overwhelmed.

"I do." He runs his hands through his hair. "It is that fucking bastard, I don't trust." He sighs in frustration and takes a seat at the dining table, I didn't even realise when we entered into the kitchen. He looks on the ground and does not speak. I bravely walk towards him, hoping that he won't push me away.

I cup his cheeks with trembling hands. I release a breath when he doesn't push my hands away and leans in. I bend down on my knees in front of him and caress his cheek with my thumb like he always does to me.
