Author's POV

Both of them came inside the room again and the atmosphere around the room became really serious now, "So, you were Choi Yejun's birth father and what about Choi Jia?" Jungkook asked after he took a deep breath, preparing himself for the other harsh realities to hit him again, "she is adopted, Youngjae found her as a baby lying abandoned at the side of the road, so he adopted her."

"Was Choi Youngjae, your lover?" Jungkook asked, his annoyance was clearly showing, but Doyun shook his head, "no, he wasn't, I stayed in contact with him because he had my son and I had to fulfill my responsibilities as a father. I helped him raise Yejun and Jia." He said that so Jungkook doesn't get the idea that he cheated on his mother. Well, at some point he did though.

"Does mom know, that you cheated on her? I dont think so she does, she wouldn't have loved you this much if she knew." Jungkook blurted out in a voice which was emotionless and this made Mr. Jeon feel more guilty. His wife really didn't knew anything, she only knew that her husband was a good person and was helping someone.

But that didn't mean he didn't love her, it was just a one night stand with Choi Youngjae which turned out into a baby and he had to take responsibility as Youngjae refused to have an abortion. "No she didn't. "

Jungkook didn't wanted to listen any further, the reality was too harsh for him to take, so he decided to change the topic, "Do you know, who possibly can do this to the Choi family? Did Choi Youngjae had any rivals, serious rivals?"

"As far as I know, he didn't had any rivals. But I don't wanna say but I suspect Yejun, he never listened to Youngjae and after knowing I am his father, he left the house in anger, he was too short tempered, he can even kill someone when he is angry and-"

"-Yejun's...Yejun is...dead, dad." Jungkook said even though he didn't wanted to, Yejun was his son after all and the news was bound to hurt him, "w-what? He is dead? H-how?" Mr. Jeon's voice stuttered.

"His body was not found but according to what Jia said He who killed Choi Youngjae and Choi Jia, killed Yejun too, but....but we are not really sure of it." Jungkook said and there was yet again an awkward silence spread in the atmosphere.

Jungkook stood up and uncuffed his father's hands, "you are free to go." He said, "Jungkook." Jimin called but Jungkook did'nt answer qnd turned around to leave, the smaller tried held his hand trying to stop his but he couldn't.

"I didn't wanted to hide it, but I had to you know. I know he might not forgive me, but I need him to know how sorry I am, Tell him this please, will you? He seems to trust you" Doyun said to Jimin while he looked at him, "Don't worry sir, he will forgive you, I believe he will." Jimin smiled, it was a pure, sincere and assuring smile and Jeon Doyun liked it. He couldn't help but to compliment his son's choice, in his heart.

"Take care of him detective Park, he is not as tough as he shows." Mr.
Jeon said and Jimin nodded, "I am aware of it, sir.. and I am trying my best." Jimin replied and in return Mr. Jeon smiled at him.

"You okay?" Jimin's asked Jungkook who eyes were on the road but his head was lost in thoughts. "Jungkook?" He called him again, this time patting his shoulder.

Jungkook looked at him as soon he felt the latters hand, "yeah?"

"You okay?" "Oh, yeah, I'm fine." "You don't look like you're fine. Your dad didn't wanted to hide it Jungkook, he had to, maybe he didn't wanted to loose you and your mother."

"Oh please, he had another family, no wonder he was that close to Choi Youngjae and I thought they were best friends, they had a freaking kid together and then my dad says Choi Youngjae wasn't his lover."

"It could be a mistake right? Like they didn't wanted it to happen but i-it did-" "-stop it! ...I don't wanna talk about this anymore." There was a harsh tone to the older's voice and it made Jimin flinch a bit, he could clearly sense that Jungkook was furious.

"Okay." Jimin said in a soft voice, he could feel his heart clenching cause he knew his lover was feeling hurt from within.
