Chapter 42

Author's POV

Jungkook couldn't help but to be at the hospital most of the time. He was not being able to concentrate on his work at the day time and his nights were sleepless as he spent those at Jimin's cabin at the hospital. He visited the NICU everyday because seeing Han provided relief to his heart and mind. He looks at the small sleeping baby who almost resembles a marshmello and smiles. The baby had pink cheeks, a head full of thick black hair and a prominant mole under his lower lips just like Jungkook's. He used to click a picture every day, he has been doing so since the first day, so that Jimin doesn't miss anything when he wakes up.

And just like that a month passed away, Jimin was still unconcious and Han still needed to be at the NICU and Jungkook was impatient, he had bags under his eyes, he had not gotten much sleep in the whole month. All his friends were worried for him cause he didn't speak much, actually he didn't speak at all, unless he needed to give orders or conduct a meeting with his detectives. It was as if he was a robot, he had lost all his emotions. He was already so much in guilt, he felt like he was the reason this happened and on top of that seeing Jimin's mother's health deteriorating due to stress because of the condition Jimin was in, broke him from within.

His face showed just a single expression and that was gloom, he wanted this to end. He wanted Jimin to wake up and he wanted to hold their son but it seemed impossible.

Five days later (a total of one month and five days)

"Are you okay?" Namjoon asked as he sat outside Jimin's cabin on a bench while Seokjin and Mrs. Park were inside. Jungkook didn't reply to the question, "everything will be okay Jungkook... I know it will be.." Namjoon said caressing Jungkook's back, while the latter nodded slightly. "Go home and take some rest... you'll fall ill this way.." Jungkook shook his head, "I'm fine." He said and Namjoon sighed, "you are not... have you even seen yourself? How would Jimin feel when he wakes up and sees you like this. Ruffled up hair, the stubble you have grown on your face.. the big bags under your eyes." He said and after such a long time he saw Jungkook's lips stretching up into a smile and soon he heard a chuckle, "he would've given me a big lecture about how I should've taken proper care of myself.." he said.

Namjoon chuckled as well, "he'll wake up right hyung? Jiminie is strong.. and he loves me and Han, he will not leave us.." he said and Namjoon nodded, "yes.. he will wake up... he can never leave us."

12:45 am.

Taehyung was on his night shift so he excused himself for a while and went to meet Jungkook at the hospital and now they were sitting and talking to each other inside the cabin, "what did they say? When will they discharge Han?" He asked in a very soft voice, "they will discharge him in a week.. his health is good, he is a healthy baby all together except that there is small hole in his lungs and that it unfortunately will not heal and he will have to live with it for the rest of his life. He might not be able to live the life of a normal boy when he grows up... I researched about the thing... he will not be able to do things that will pressurise his lungs like running and other heavy physical activities." Jungkook said as he kept on looking at Jimin's sleeping body.

"It's okay Kook.. atleast he is safe and alive.." Taehyung assured as he saw Jungkook's gloomy face. Jungkook slowly nodded and just then they heard a soft groan, he sprang out of his seat and looked at Jimin who had a scrunched up face by now. A spark of hope filled his heart, "Jiminie..?" He called and heard another soft groan leave his plump lips as the smaller moved his head slightly, he smiled as tears started pooling up in his eyes.

"Tae.. call a doctor o-or a nurse.. I-I think he is gaining conciousness." Jungkook said out in excitment. Taehyung nodded moving out of the room. "Jiminie...? Babe?" He called carressing his cheek when Jimin's eyes slowly opened and by that time a doctor and a nurse had reached the cabin along with Taehyung who stood by the door. Jimin blinked a few times adjusting his hazy eyesight.
