Chapter 28

Author's POV

"Hands in the air or you are dead." Yejun said. Namjoon immediately tried to shoot him with the gun he had but unfortunately he had already used all the bullets while fighting with the other men, Yejun laughed, "what happened? No bullets left Sergeant? So bad isn't it?.. Now, now, coming back to my dear brother, should I shoot you in your head or in your heart in which you carry all those little feelings." He said as he put his finger on the trigger, "no! No don't. Please!" Jimin shouted going towards Jungkook, "uh uh, move and I'll shoot."

Jimin immediately stopped on his tracks, "awe, look, he cares about you so much, but don't be sad baby, I am here for you, I can pleasure you more than him you know?" "You are crossing your limit Yejun!" Jungkook yelled at him, "don't you dare raise your voice at me! You don't have any right to do that! You knew about me all your life and now you are trying to act like my brother?" Jungkook's wrinkled eyebrows straightened, he was kind of starting to understand what was actually happening, why Yejun hates him so much.

"Well, well, I don't think killing you just like that would give pleasure to my heart, I want to make you feel how it feels to be in pain from within." And then he turned his gun towards Jimin, who was standing on Jungkook's right, "Nah, I'm not gonna kill you, I'm gonna keep you with me after I kill your boyfriend." He chuckled and then pointed his gun towards Namjoon who was standing on Jungkook's left. "You love him very much right? Your precious hyung.." Yejun said putting his finger on the trigger.

Both Jimin and Jungkook's heart beats dropped as Yejun pulled the trigger but Namjoon didn't flinch, his job was made for sacrifices, he knew, that one day he was bound to get into a situation like this, he was ready for it. And just when he thought that the bullet was going to hit him he felt a rough push from his right and fell to the ground, he quickly looked up to see who pushed him and his eyes widened to see Jungkook's body falling to the ground, the bullet that was supposed to hit him has now carved a deep hole in Jungkook's chest right were his heart was situated.

Jungkook was too exhausted to take the rough impact as he had already lost so much blood through his shot arm and now getting shot again drained the energy that was left in him. His body hit the cold floor with a loud thud, he nearly passed out. Jimin's eyes widened as he saw his boyfriend get shot, he ran towards him and kneeled down beside him with tear filled eyes, he didn't know what to do, seeing his lover lying on the floor with a bullet in him, had thrown all the senses out of his head, he just somehow wanted to save him, his tears fell down uncontrollably. "Jungkook! No, no, no!..... Be with me ... don't close your eyes please!" Jimin sobbed as he said taking the latter's head on his lap trying to keep him concious.

"Jimin ...." Jungkook said in a whispered voice enduring the pain he was in, "I'm here Jungkookie, nothing will happen to you..." He cried more, as he caressed the latter's head. "I love you.." He said almost in a whisper, "I love you too, I love you too, please stay with me, please!" Jimin cried even more, Jungkook smiled as his vision got all blurry and his eyes closed slowly. "Jungkook...?" Jimin cupped his face, "Jungkookie, why are doing this to me? Look at me Jungkook!" Jimin shaked Jungkook's still body numerous times and Namjoon's tears fell down seeing the painful sight, just then the sound of the door opening reached their ears and Namjoon looked up to see their force hurriedly coming in, there was no signs of Yejun. The paramedics came in and layed Jungkook's body on a stretcher and went straight to the ambulance, Jimin went after them followed by the the others.

At the hospital

Jimin's tears had no end, his clothes were soiled with Jungkook's blood, he was longingly looking at the Operation Theatre's door, hoping that the doctor will come out and tell them that Jungkook was absolutely fine.
Those three hours seemed to be the longest in Jimin's life, the time just wasn't passing and he was growing impatient and different bad thoughts were engulfing his head, he was thinking, why didn't he get shot instead, atleast Jungkook would've been safe.
