Chapter 40

Author's POV

A month later (33rd week for Jimin)

"This is so frustrating, all of our secret agents are getting killed, this way we won't ever be able to reach him." Jungkook said running his palm down his face when he suddenly heard the door of the room open, "Jungkook..?" Jungkook turned around as soon as he heard Jimin's voice, "hey.. what happened? Are you alright?" Jimin nodded assuring him, "I'm fine.. but the Commissioner is here and he wants to meet you." Jimin said and Jungkook rubbed his palm down his face once and nodded his head. Jimin looked at him and sighed, thinking when they will be able to lead a normal life.

"Where is he?" Jungkook asked moving closer to Jimin, "in the break room.." Jimin answered, "you both are doing okay right?" Jungkook asked putting his palms on both sides of the smaller's well rounded belly, "we are doing fine... don't worry about us.. go." He said while Jungkook nodded his head leaning down to place a kiss of Jimin's lips. "I'll be right back." He said placing another kiss on Jimin's forehead and left to go to the break room, Jimin's eyes followed him up until he went inside the room. His heart sank to his stomach, he didn't knew why. As if, he was getting a feeling that something bad was going to happen.

The break room

"Good afternoon sir." Jungkook said as he entered the room. Commissioner Seung was sitting on a chair near the round table that was situated in the middle of the room, facing the door. He immediately smiled and motioned him to sit on the chair in front of him and Jungkook did so, he went, pulling the chair out and sat down, "so what's your descision?" He asked waiting for a new reply, "aren't you tired of asking the same question over and over again, sir?" Jungkook asked instead, "no matter how much you ask, my answer will remain the same and that is 'no'. I will not marry your daughter." Jungkook said in his stern and confident voice.

Commissioner Seung chuckled, "I have given my daughter everything that she ever asked for and your "no" will not change the fact that you WILL marry each other." He said, "I will not sir.. no matter what you do, I will not. I will repeat the same words that I have been saying to you for the past three months, I have a lover who will soon be giving birth to my child, I am a responsible partner as well as a father, I am not interested in your daughter and I will not marry her." Those words made the Commissioner's jaw clench. "Fine... but I want to give you a very interesting information... Your precious, doll face lover is being suspected of working with his father."

Jungkook's breath hitched a bit at those words and seeing him the Commissioner chuckled, "many of our agents died and the main branch is suspecting that there is still another mole in this department and we all know who the potential mole here can be... given, that Jimin is Park Sehun's own child, his own blood and then he was suddenly abducted by him a month ago. We don't know what happened then. Maybe Jimin changed his mind and started working for him and is tricking us all.." He said, "no.. Jimin is doing no such thing, he despises his father and he is helping us to get to him." Jungkook said gritting his teeth, "you know that, maybe I know that and few others in this precinct knows that but.. the law doesn't... the law is blind as you know, my dear son-in-law.. the proofs that will be provided to them is what they will believe.." he smirked. "It's your choice, marry my daughter or see you poor, pregnant, doll behind the bars."

Jungkook was so enraged, "you will not do such a thing." He said glaring at the man, his palms fisting on the table where they rested, "ofcourse I will... now, it's upto you to choose, whether you'll see your son being born in a hospital or in jail.. you want to give them a good life or a life labled by the word "criminal"... choose wisely son." Jungkook looked at the empty table with a huge amount of thoughts jamming his head but most of it was 'what do I do now?'

Jimin saw Jungkook come out of the break room along with the Commissioner and while Jimin's eyes were on the Commissioner's somewhat proud face, he didn't notice Jungkook's sudden dissappearance, "How are you doing Detective Park?" Commissioner Seung said with a smile as he came near to him, "I'm doing fine sir.." Jimin said bowing his head, "and your baby?" He asked eyeing the latter's belly, "he is doing fine as well." Jimin replied, "hmm.. good.." The Commissioner mumbled, Jimin averted his gaze as he was really not interested to see the man's face, "oh.. and..." he took his face close to Jimin's, "really hope to see you at my daughter's wedding.. it's in a week, you'll get an invitation card soon."
