Shawns POV

I wake up way earlier than Alex does. She's still laying her head on my chest and I smiled softly. I run my fingers through her hair as she snuggles closer to me and smiles in her sleep. She's so adorable.

I shift my body a little to be a little bit more comfortable and she lifts her head up "Shawn?" She whispers "I'm right here. I'm right here." I said and she rests her head back on my chest. I grab my phone and saw it was six in the morning. I realized I practically took a nap. I sighed and went on my phone and watched greys anatomy on Netflix until I felt tired again.

-
"No.." I hear causing me to furrow my brows "mom.." I hear again. I flutter my eyes open. "Mom.. don't go.." Alex says softly in her sleep "mom please.. mom.. mom.. mom!" She yells and sits up and I sit up too. She starts to hyperventilate and starts crying as well. I wrapped my arms around her and she cries into my shoulders.

"You're alright. You're alright." I said trying to calm her. "Go.. get... my.. dad." She said to me and I climb out of bed and head over to her dad's room. I knock on the door before entering and I see he wasn't there. I head downstairs and see him in his sweats. "Hey Shawn." He said sipping on his coffee. "It's Alex. She had a dream about her mother. She told me to come get you." I said and he put his mug down and ran up to her room.

I follow behind him and see that she's still pale, sweaty and still breathing hard. "You're Alright. It's just me and Shawn here." "She-She-" she sobs and he pulls her in for a hug. "I know. I know." He said as she cries into his shoulder. "I told her not to go. I told her to stay with me and she didn't listen. It's my fault." She cried "it's not your fault. It's not anybody's fault except for the people who did this." He said stroking her hair and kissing the top of her head. "I was just a kid.." she said softly while wiping her tears away. "I was a kid without a mother.." she said and her dad looked at me giving me an apologetic look and I gave him a nod letting him know it was okay.

"I told her not to go there. You told her too." She says. "I know. I know." He said and she soon calms down. I sit down on the bed next to them and she looks at me. "I'm sorry." She said lifting her head up from her dad's shoulder. "Don't be Sorry. You don't have to apologize for anything." I said tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I woke you up and scared you didn't I?" She said and I shook my head no even though it was the truth. "As long as you're okay now, I don't really care if you woke me up." I said and she smiled softly. Her dad got up from her bed "let me know if you need anything else. I'll be right downstairs." He said and kissed her forehead before exiting.

"You okay?" I asked her and she shook her head no. "I'm not. But I will be." She said getting up from the bed. "Does that always happen to you?" I asked since I still have a lot to learn about her. She sighs and turns around and looks at me "not always. It obviously sneaks attacks me." She said "since when has it started?" I asked "since the day it happened." She said "I'm sorry." I said "don't be. It's not your fault." She said walking towards me and pecks my lips. I wrapped my arms around her waist and look up at her. "I love you." I said and she grins "I love you too." She said leaning in and her soft lips attached mine. Her hands caressing my face as I deepened the kiss by running my tongue against her bottom lip and she gave me permission and I slipped my tongue in.

I feel her moan into the kiss as she moves her hand to the back on my head and tug on my hair. I feel both of us leaning back "woah woah woah." I said as we fell onto the bed and both of us laughed. I looked at her and she looked at me and smiled softly.
