Alex's pov

It was finally Monday. The day I go back to school and be the laughing joke. I skated to school and walked in.

"Uh- uh- yeah- fuck me shawn." A guy said as he walked past me. I put my hoodie on and pulled on the strings and tied it. I walked to my locker and saw the words "slut." And "whore." On it. Classy.

I sighed and opened my locker and got my books.

"Maybe I'll finally fuck Shawn since he's single. He can record me any day." A girl said

I took a deep breath in and out.

"Yeah and you can get your ass beat any day." I heard that familiar voice that I hate so much. I laughed softly at her threat.

"Hey Brie." I said turning around

"How are you holding up?" She asked and I sighed

"Not great. But I'm getting there." I said closing my lockers and she saw the words on it.

"I swear ima whoop some ass." She said and I laughed

"It's fine. I don't care." I said

"Can I ask you something?" She asked and I nodded

"What were you and Shawn talking about?" She said

I sighed not wanting to talk about this anymore but I at least need to talk to someone about it or else ima be dealing with all this pain and no advice.

"What do you think?" I said and she looked down.

"I'm not talking with Matt." She said changing the subject. Hopefully.

"How come?" I asked

"He agreed what Shawn did was right." She said

"Right as in.." I said waiting for her to finish

"That he only did the bet to protect you." She said and I scoffed

"Do you know what Brian thinks?" I asked

"Who cares what he thinks? He's Brian. He barley has a brain cell, I saw him crash into the wall the other day." She laughed and I rolled my eyes playfully.

We finally went to class and I saw him. His bruise even more purple, his busted lip started healing. Everyone staring at me. I went to sit in the back of the class.

"Okay class! Today we will be writing an essay. I want an essay based on what you love and why." She said and I groaned. Why does everything have to be about love!

I saw Shawn raise his hand

"yes Shawn?" She said

"Is there a limit?" He said

"No limit. Feel free to write how much you want to write. You have the whole class today. Let's get to it! You will turn it in at the end for a grade!" She said

Shawn looked at me and I looked down at my notebook. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry.

I grabbed my pen and paper and started writing. Every now and then I would look up and catch Shawn staring at me and then he'd pretend he'd be thinking.
