Chapter sixteen

Alex's pov;
It's been a few days since Shawn has kissed me. It's been a few days since I've talked to him. The guilt of not telling Sky has been killing me. My dad dropped me off at school today and I was wanting to die because I see both sky and Shawn today in class. "Hey stranger." Shawn said "oh-uh- hi." I said looking down. "You okay?" He asked "yeah. I'm great." I said "hey babe." Sky said walking up to us "hi." I said and she kissed my cheek. "You okay?" "I'm fine. Aye dios mío. Déjame en pas! {oh my god, leave me in peace!}" I said and walked off.

Sky's pov
"You got any idea what she said?" I said looking at Shawn "no clue." He said "aren't you in Spanish III this year?" I said "yeah. As you can tell, I'm failing." He said and I shook my head and walked off.  I went to go look for Alex. I see her go in to the bathroom. I thought that was odd because she's always complaining about how dirty and nasty the bathrooms are. I follow her in and I see a whole bunch of girls. They all give me dirty looks. I'm assuming cause of my outfit; a stripped crop top, mom jean that are cuffed at the bottom and black combat boots. I thought it was cute. They all leave after hearing the warning bell. "Alex?" I called out after locking the door. "Go away." I heard. "Why are you in here? You hate school bathrooms. You hate school in general." I laughed at the last part.

I hear her laugh too. I follow the laughter and knock on the door. "You Good?" I asked. I heard a sniffle. "Open the door." I said "No." I sighed. "You want me to bring Shawn? I know he's your best friend." I asked

Alex's pov

"You want me to bring Shawn? I know he's your best friend." My heart sank. "No!" I said standing up from sitting on the toilet. "It kind of involves him." I said quietly "what happened?" She asked. I put my forehead against the door and I sighed and opened the door walking out. She looked at me smiling. That smile that'll soon turn into a frown. I sat on the sink facing her. "You're gonna be mad." "Why would I be mad at you? You could never make me mad." She said tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"He kissed me.." I said "He what?" She said backing away. "Shawn kis-" "Yeah I heard you." She said. "Did you have sex with him?" "What? Of course not." I said "did you kiss him back?" "No." I said. She sighed. "I always knew he had a thing for you." She said turning around  "I knew it since day one. But my dumbass thought I was being paranoid." "Sky-" "I cant believe this." She said "do you even love me? Are you faking all of this? Are you just using me to get at Shawn for something?" "What? Why are you even asking me those things? I love you! I love you sky! Not Shawn. I've told Shawn my heart belongs to you. Not him. And I didn't kiss him back! You have to believe me." I said hopping off the sink grabbing her hand and she yanked it back. "Sky." I said and she gave me a dirty look.

"I did not kiss him back." I said cupping her face in my hands. "I want to believe you.." "then believe me." I said "I-I can't. I need some time." She said bringing my hands down. "Sky-" "I'm sorry." She said and kissed my cheek and walked out the bathroom. I sighed and grabbed my bag. I wiped away the tears that had fallen and I washed my face with water and went to the office to get a tardy pass.

I dreaded 5th period. That's when I would see both sky and Shawn in class and I would sit with Sky. I sat down and whipped out my phone. I look up and see sky. "Seat taken?" She asked and I shook my head no. She dropped her bag to the floor. She sat down and i saw her leg bounce up and down. She was anxious. Shawn walks through the door with Brian and they're both laughing. They make eye contact with us and wave hi. I wave hi and I see sky get up and run to Shawn tackling him and start hitting him. I sit there shocked with my mouth hanging open and so does everyone else cause Sky is literally the nicest person ever and the fact that she's legit fighting Shawn and the fact that she's 5'1 and she just tackled a 6' foot man left us all confused.
