Chapter thirty

Alex's pov

Day of New York

I wake up at four AM and get my bags. I walk into my dad's room to let him know I'd be leaving and he gave me some U.S. dollars to use and I got in the car with the guys and Brie and Shawn drove to the airport.

"Oh! I'm so excited!" Brie squealed

"I want to see Times Square!" Matt said and I laughed. Classic tourists.

"I want to see the Statue of Liberty!" Brian said

"You guys are such tourists." I laughed

"Hey, Hey, Hey!" They all said and I laughed.

"What do you want to see?" I asked Shawn as the rest were talking about what they want to do in New York.

"I want to see where you grew up." He smiled

"No you don't." I said

"Why Not? I can't know where my best friend grew up?" He said and I rolled my eyes.

"It's not the best neighborhood." I said and he rolled his eyes. We finally got to the airport and met up with everyone else. We finally got to the gates and waited for our flight to be called.

"I'm tired!" Brian groaned

"If I would've known that this was going to be at five in the morning, I wouldn't have came." He complained

"You wake up at five regardless for school." Shawn said and he groaned. Brie and Matt were sleeping and Brian finally shut up and fell asleep too.

I laid my legs across Shawn's lap and he looked at me and smiled. He rested his hands on my legs and laid his head on my lap and we took a small nap.

"Let's go guys!" We hear our instructor say and we all get up and get on the plane. I got the window seat and I was excited. I love window seats.

"A little scared there?" I said as Brian was shaking in his boots.

"I haven't been on a plane since middle school." He said

"You're alright. You're with me. I'm the best one of the group." I said and he laughed obnoxiously.

"Ouch." I said and he shook his head and put on his headphones

"Thanks. I needed that." He said and I rolled my eyes and the plane took off. I put my headphones in and blast old classic throwbacks into my ear and fell asleep.

"We are now preparing for landing.." I hear and open my eyes seeing I was laying my head on Brian. I lift my head off his shoulder and look at him seeing he's still asleep. I slap his forehead and he jolts causing me to laugh.

"We're here." I said and he nods and closes his eyes again..

We finally land and we get our carry ons and get off the plane. Shawn jogs towards me and wraps his arm around my neck.

"How was your window seat?" He asks and I shrug

"I fell asleep." I said and he chuckled

"I did the same." He said and we got the rest of our luggages at baggage claim.

"I want to sleep!" Matt groaned as we got on the bus to go to our hotels. Brie was going to sit next to me but Shawn pushes her away and sits next to me.

"Shawn you little-"

"Brie! Remember, happy faces!" Our guidance counselor says and brie rolls her eyes
