"Let's take 5 guys." The director shouted, causing everyone on set to trudge off to their trailers.

Jace sighed deeply, pushing open his trailers door before falling into one of his set chairs.

He was tired, he'd admit, his bones creaked and ached- they'd been shooting for hours and hours on end, but he was glad his scenes were over and he was just... done. His first movie. Completed. He smiled contently.

A knock rattled at his door, jolting him out of his thoughts. "Come in." He called, leaning back in his chair to watch his fiancée walk into the trailer.

He smiled up at her as she walked towards him, extending his arm out so that she'd fit comfortably beside him. His hand rested on her waist, leaning his head on her side.
"That's it then, is it?" Aline asked, placing her hand over his as she looked into the mirror.
She fixed a stray hair into place, scanning over her appearance before her almond eyes landed back on him.

He nodded, holding her hand in his. He fiddled with the ring on her finger before kissing it.

She gently took her hand out of his and placed it on the back of his head instead.

"Want to go somewhere? Like... a vacation. A break from all... this, the media, work, life." He laughed, but was cut short by the look she gave him.

Her almond eyes were narrowed as she contemplated it.

"And where would we be going?" She inquired, almost smartly.

Jace shrugged, "Does it matter?" When Aline didn't answer, he cleared his throat a bit. "It could be a group of us, me- you, Alec, Isabelle."

Aline sighed deeply through her nose, smiling with thin lips at him. "Sounds great. You need a break after all, right? I'll go tell the others." She patted the hand that was on her waist before walking out of his hold.

"I love-" Jace started but she slammed the door shut behind her.

Jace stared into space for a bit before pulling out his phone and searching up vacation spots.
He reckoned an inn would suffice the group for the duration of the vacation, he just... didn't know which one.

'Carstairs Inn... Wayland Manor... Smiths Space... Fairchild's Forest.' Jace's eyes landed on a cottage mansion that looked... gorgeous. He couldn't take his eyes off of it, it was as if he'd... been there before or something.

It felt so familiar, on the tip of his tongue

It felt so familiar, on the tip of his tongue.
He was getting frustrated by the fact he couldn't pinpoint how he exactly knew the place... he started looking at the reviews, wondering if this would be the place he'd stay at.

'Amazing! The people are so friendly, it was as if I was staying at home! 5 stars!! Thank you!'

'That dinner was delicious... compliments to Miss. Fairchild!'

'I go here every summer with my family, and every summer it's the same lovely hospitality from the Fairchild family!! My condolences to William and Tessa!'

'It's always great to see dear Clary, she lights up every room!"

Jace's hand stilled at that review... eyes dancing over the name 'Clary'.

It wasn't the most... usual name. It definitely stood out to him, but he couldn't figure out why. It's not as if he had this reaction every time he saw a name he wasn't familiar with.

But... Clary. It seemed to flow so easily in his mind, as if he could say it at the end of every sentence. "I went to the shop today and saw Clary." "I wonder if I'll see someone on this vacation... hey- what about Clary?"

Jace shook his head at his urban dictionary examples in his mind, deciding it was a bit creepy to be just throwing someone's name around in his mind that he didn't even know personally.

He decided to look into the area which the mansion was located, deciding it was very... normal. Cute. He could live there. Maybe.

He could imagine himself walking down the roads to the small shops and markets littered around the place, waving at his neighbours, going for runs in the mornings through the winding paths

He could imagine himself walking down the roads to the small shops and markets littered around the place, waving at his neighbours, going for runs in the mornings through the winding paths... he smiled and started booking his reservation.

He dialled the phone number on the website and waited.

"H-Hello, Simon Lewis speaking, how can I help you?" A shaky voice sounded into the speaker, sounding... inexperienced- as if this wasn't his usual job.Jace almost laughed.

"Yes, hello. Is this... Fairchild Forest? I was wondering if I could book a reservation for 4." Jace asked, staring up at the ceiling as he tapped his foot.

"Yes- yes, it is. Of course. 4 separate rooms?" He asked and Jace thought for a second.

She's your fiancée, Jace. Don't be a wimp.

"Uh... no. 3 rooms please." He finally replied, letting loose a deep breath.

"Alright. Can I get a name?"

Jace debated giving him his real name, then decided against it. He didn't want the attention while he was supposed to be relaxing, so he took Alec & Isabelle's second name.

"Jonathon Lightwood." He said smoothly, hoping the pause wasn't as long as he thought it was.

"Lightwood... and when would you like to stay?" Simon asked. "Is Monday alright? I think we'll stay for about 2 weeks." Jace said, checking his phone. It was Friday now.

"Great, that settles it then. We'll keep in contact as to payment requirements, Mr. Lightwood. We look forward to seeing you. Goodbye."

Jace stuffed his phone back into his pocket, feeling a weight already lift off of his shoulders. He was looking forward to this holiday.

He needed a break.
